How To Get More Traffic To Your Hubpages

5 Powerful Ways To Create Backlinks To Your Hubpages

Backlinking

A backlink is simply a link -linking back to your website or hubpage. For example let's take your hubpages. You might already have a blog but use hubpages as a platform to create backlinks to your blog. This is done by writing a hub based around your blog's theme, and at the end of your hub you post a link to your blog. Those who are interested in knowing more about you or the products you sell(if you sell any) will click the url link and be taken to your blog. It's that simple.

Why Are backlinks So Important?

Good question. Backlinks are important for two reasons.

1)They help with your PR (Page Rank). The lower your page rank is the better you'll rank with in top search engine's like Google, Bing, and Yahoo! A page is ranked based on a couple of things: How much traffic it gets per month, how popular it is, how many backlinks are pointing to it, and how fresh (updated) the content is. It's important to rank well within search engine's because if people are searching for services you happen to provide, your name and company URL will pop up first over millions of people who provide the same services. This means more traffic for you, and more traffic can potentially mean more revenue!

You can check your blog or website's Pag Rank and the backlinks that are pointing to it by going to Alexa.com.

2) The second reason why backlinks are important is traffic. If you have no traffic going to your hubpage it will never be seen, and if it's never seen then there's no point in having one. You want to drive traffic to your site to acomplish whatever goals you have for that hubpage. Whether it's to make money throuh adsense, amazon books, or whether it's to create a platform to share your thoughts with those who have the same interests as you. Whatever your goals are for your hubpage you're going to need traffic to achieve it.

Let's move on to how you can create backlinks to your hubpages.

Article Writing

Artile writing is an incredible way to create backlink to your hubpages. A few popular article submission websites are: articlebase.com, ezinearticles.com, ehow.com, squidoo.com and knol.google.com. The next step is to register to them and once you get your confirmation email you can go a head and create your profile. Usually when setting up your profile you will be asked to create something called a 'Sig.' which is short for signature. That's where you will write a short discription about yourself and also add your hubpage's URL.

One thing to keep in mind when submitting articles on article submission websites is that it's okay to write articles on many topics that interest you, but the backlinks of articles that get clicked on the most are the one's that are written around one specific topic of interest. I think it's the same for hubs as well. Just my opinion though.

forumsignatures

Forum Comments

Forums are another good way to create backlinks to your hubpages. The first step is to sign up to a forum. Almost all of the forums out there are free to join. The next step is to create a profile and add your hubpage link. Most forums ask you to add your url apon registration when creating your bio which is fine. Once you have your profile and signature all set up, whenever you post a comment or start your own topic, your sig url that links to your hubpages will show. The more comments you leave on these forums, the more you will be exposing your backlink because your sig shows anytime you post something. To rank better in search engines your signature should be a title relevent to the hub you're linking to.

It's also best that you only register to top forums that have a low Page Rank or else you'll just be wasting your time. You don't want to post backlinks to a forum that is getting little to no traffic. The better the forum's Page Rank the more traffic it gets, and the more taffic it gets the better are your chances of getting your url link(signature) seen.

Url Submission Websites

This is a a no brainer and probably is the easiest way to create backlinks to your hubpage. There's not much to explain here. Submitting your hubpage url to directories allows your hubpage to get ranked. And as I said many times through out this article getting ranked can potentially get your hubpage seen by hundreds of thousands of people. Submitting your hubpage url to a directory is simple and the top 8 url submission websites are good enough to submit your link to. You simply go to a directory site, type in your url, type in the security code, and press the submit button. That's it! It may take a few weeks for the search engine bots to scan your hub pages and rank them, so be patient.

Here are some URl submission sits. And please remember there is no need to try and add your bupage link to 20 0r 40 directory site. 8 or so is good enough. No need to over do it.

www.google.com/addurl, http://search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx, http://www.dmoz.org/add.html, http://www.scrubtheweb.com/addurl.html

Just to name a few. Keep in mind when you're searching for website directories online make sure they rank well and are of good quality, or else you're just wasting your time because you won't rank well if they're not!!!

Thanks a lot for your hub. Forum marketing is very useful method for getting targeted visitors. But it takes some time to build up the relationship with other forum members.
