How to Get Motivated to Write Hubs

Updated on July 19, 2012

When writing on Hubpages it can sometimes be hard to stay motivated to write and pump out new content. With this article I will share some of the tips that help me get motivated to write hubs and come up with new ideas.

Have a Goal

Goals are important in staying motivated because they are the fuel that gives you the energy to accomplish your aspirations. Have a goal on how many hubs you want to write and stay with it until you accomplish your goal. If you want to make a certain amount of income on hubpages try to associate you earning with how many hubs you publish. Lets say you want to earn 100 dollars a month on hubpages, then you should aim for 100 hubs.

  • Set a goal for each day or month for a certain number of hubs you want to publish.
  • Have an idea of how much you expect in earnings and write hubs accordingly.
  • Make sure you keep quality in your quest for more hubs.

Work on Writing About Topics You're Interested in

It is fine to write for traffic, but if that's all you are writing for then you will not have a great time doing it. However, if you write about topics that you are interested in and knowledgeable about then the process becomes a lot easier and you will obtain a lot more motivation to keep with it. This does not mean write randomly, if you have profits in mind they you will still need to do the appropriate keyword research. Also, try to find topics you like that are popular and useful to write about. This will in turn drive earnings as well as keep you motivated.

  • Find a topic you know a lot about and that attracts a high amount of viewers.
  • Use the Keyword tool to find out what people are searching and write according to demand.

Look at Writing as Fun not Work

Writing can be exhausting at times, especially if you are writing for the wrong reasons. Try and keep a mindset of writing for a hobby and think of how lucky you are for being able to write and make money at the same time. You can still make money and have fun at the same time. The more you look at is a job the less motivation you will have to do it. Keep it fun and have a good time.

  • Look at writing as an entertaining hobby.
  • Never get too focused on the money look at it as a bonus for getting to write.

Interesting and it is definitely a good idea to enjoy what you write about. I love just researching topics and learning as I write.
