Ideas for Writing New Hubs - The Hub Walk

Updated on April 15, 2013

Searching for great ideas and topics to write new hubs can take some time. Every time I publish a new hub, I look to find a new topic or idea in order to avoid clicking on the refresh button every minute. As Hubpages can be quite addictive and anticipation grows to see how many times our hubs have been viewed, I have found a way to stop the madness and write more productive hubs.

In order to clear my mind after publishing a new hub, I go for a "Hub Walk".

The benefits of a Hub walk is that it gives you a chance leave your working environment or work state of mind which allows you to relax and look for new ideas and inspiration.

Whether you pass by trees, cars, houses or traffic you will have a different thought process which helps with the flow of new ideas. As you walk you may even solve your day to day problems.

If you take a pen and small notepad to write down your thoughts and ideas you will avoid the chance of forgetting the things on your mind.

Another great way to help the flow of your thought process is to take a portable radio to listen to. This will let your subconscious listen while your brain can go through its brainstorm for you. A walk will help you reflect on past hubs you have written and give you ideas on how to change or improve them.

Don't be afraid to give this "Hub Walk" method a try and you will notice positive results with your hub writing and thought process.

Karen is right, our Hawaiian Odysseus has been writing about walking and writing...did that make sense? Either way, you are validating a very good way to get ideas.

      Voted up, useful, and interersting.

And if you walk long enough you may even lose a few pounds. This was a hub that reminded me of Hawaiian Odysseus here on Hub Pages. He finds his walks quite inspirational as well. Useful hub that I am also voting up.
