How to Increase Hubpages Earnings with YouSayToo

Updated on August 20, 2011

Increasing Hubpages earnings takes a lot of effort to create great content but one other integral part of building up your revenue is to get more traffic and exposure to your hubs.

One way to increasing Hubpages earnings is by using the website YouSayToo is a website where you can write short summaries and link to your Hubpages articles which will not only gain a backlink that improves search engine ranking but you may increase your Adsense earnings through the bookmarking website.

Here's how to get started with YouSayToo in order to increase Hubpages earnings, build backlinks and earn additional Adsense revenue on the side ...

Step 1: Sign up for YouSayToo

Upon landing on YouSayToo, you will see a tab at the top right that will take you to the account creation page; this is a giant orange box that reads 'Add your blog now!'. Click the tab.

Step 2: Setup your Basic Profile

On the next page, setup your basic profile on YouSayToo by entering your name, password, email address, a profile picture and filling out the Captcha form. Agree to the terms and services and click next to complete the initial account setup.

Step 3: Add your Adsense ID

For now, you can skip over adding or setting up a blog on YouSayToo because the main use for the site, for our purposes, is to add snippets to the website that will act as backlinks to our Hubpages articles (the basis of link building and raising you traffic).

Hover over your profile and select the 'revenue settings' link; on the next page, add your Adsense publisher account number which should be located in the top-right in your Adsense account (pub-[numbers]).

Step 4: Add a Blog

YouSayToo allows you to add a blog. For our purposes, we'll be using this to create short overviews of hubpages where we then point people to our original articles to learn more. In essence, you're submitting a micro post that will then lead people over to Hubpages (this is your backlink, yay!).

Step 5: Add a Post

Next, add your small blog post to YouSayToo.

In the example, I'm going to be pointing to one of my hub about life hacks so I filled in a title that related to the content, added a short summary of what the hub covers, added tags and a category that fit the post.

Do the same for your Hubpages articles; I'm sure you already understand the process since you are active here on Hubpages. Afterwards, hit 'publish' to get your YouSayToo post live.

Bonus: Ping/Share your Post

After you've published your post to YouSayToo, visit a 'ping' website such as Pingler to ping your blog post. Pinging your post will alert search engines and blog directories to come over and begin spidering your post so it gets indexed faster.

At the same time, share your new post on Twitter or other social media websites to help get even more exposure!

Conclusion and Final Thoughts

Increasing traffic is the best way to build up your Hubpages earnings. It's always important that you create great content but you need to be working on getting your pages found in order to earn from Adsense, Amazon, Hubpages Advertising and more.

I hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial about YouSayToo; keep doing this with each of your Hubpages articles and you will definitely see your traffic rise in the long run.

I just signed up and initially they bring you to a screen to import wordpress, blogger, etc. Skip that and create your own blog. It's late otherwise I'd continue posting backlinks. Thank you oddity for sharing your knowledge. Newbies like myself appreciate all the direction we can find. Great hub! Voted up!

Voted up and interesting. Seems Yousaytoo has a good community, but how can you actually add your Hubpages blog? It seems every time I try, nothing happens, it is just stuck on the page. Oh, and where is the 'backlink' code they mention that you have to add to your blog?

I really enjoyed this Hub. I started to use YouSayToo and stopped because I could not figure out how to disconnect my activity from Facebook. Do you know how I could add to my blog at YouSayToo without my activity being posted to Facebook? I do share stuff on Facebook but people don't need to know every minute of what I'm doing. Thanks.

When I tried to do it, practically every page I clicked on they said they couldn't find. I tried creating a blog, it said Hmm, there was an error. I tried creating a profile, same thing. Why won't it work?
