Why Great Title

  • It Gives Precise Information Of What To Expect From The Article
  • Summarizes The Article In Not Less Than Two Words
  • Build Trust With The Readers. The Readers Will Come Back For More Articles From You
  • Will Have Room For Readers To Ask Questions Like “How,” “When,” “What,” By Asking Themselves These Question Will Lead Them To Read Your Articles

Example of Hubs with Poor and Good Hub Titles

Am going to pick out some of my Hubs with poor hub title and some Hubs here at HubPages with great Hub Titles

Poor Titles: auto insurance infomation

This is one of my Hubs with the poorest Hub Title. With all words starting in LOWWER CASE S as oppose to UPPER CASE, although this Hub does not have a period but the title itself is a period no more no less. The Hub Title is more than three words but has got a spelling error (infomation) instead of information. This title does not give precise information for the reader, is it talking about Type of Auto Insurances? Or is this Hub explaining why you should Auto Insurer Your Car. The person who may be searching for Auto Insurance may have some information about Auto Insurance and is just looking for exact detail

Good Titles: The Top 4 Ways to Drive Traffic To Your Hubs and Earn More

The above title is great; anybody reading this Hub Title will know what to find out from the Hub. It is straight to the point, Eye catchy and summarizes the Hub; it is not stuffed with Keywords and is meant for Humans not Search Engine. Whoever was looking for ways to drive traffic will easily read this hub as it explain The Top 4 Ways to Drive Traffic To Your Hubs and Earn More, note that this Hub is not talking about ways to drive traffic but the Top 4 Ways. The reader may be aware of ways to drive traffic but having reading this title he will definitely want to read more about these 4 ways

Tips to consider when selecting a title

  • Spell Check Your Hub Title To Avoid Spelling Mistakes
  • No Periods, Commas At The End Of Your Hub Title

No Article Number In The Title I.E. TheTop 4 Ways to Drive Traffic to Hubs and Earn More – Article #1

  • Do not put date and years, as you may have observed here at hubpages, hubs do not have date of published when you are reading them. People tend to look for new and fresh articles and may disregard older written articles
  • Avoid Microsoft Smart Quotes in your title as they will interfere with your RSS feeds and Emails
