Hub 15 In The 30/30 Hub Challenge. The View From Half Way

Updated on September 15, 2013

Life is a rollercoaster

I am going to celebrate tonight

Tonight is the night I feel. No........! not what you're thinking you smutty lot. Tonight is the night to celebrate with a glass of my favourite Whisky. Half way through this 30/30 Hub Challenge it is now time to reflect on what I have learned so far and to look ahead at the next 15 hubs and beyond.

I think I deserve a little treat this Saturday night as I have not had a drink since the New Year. Already the 20th January 2012 so I can see this year flying by as never before. January has zipped by for the simple reason that I have been so focused on achieving this 30 day challenge and everything else has literally been put on hold.

A few of my hub challenge hubs have talked about inspiration and acting on it when it appears. Writing for the 30/30 is no exception. Because I have been doing this challenge it has taken my mind of other negative things in my life. As a result I have been blessed with connecting with new hub friends. I also believe that I am now more open to new opportunities coming my way and being in a state of heightened awareness where I am prepared to act without question where once before I may have taken a step backward.

In the last week alone I have met new friends and had a job offer from out of the blue. Best part of it is from the same place that I work now. You just don't know where your next opportunity is going to come from.

A lot of this I would like to attribute to the books I am reading and re- reading as part of my own development towards my goals and achieving them....finally. For years I have been reading motivational books particularly when I was younger and in Big Store Management. With set backs in life I lost my way and couldn't seem to open my mind to the possibilities that this type of book talked about.

I always knew I needed a vehicle to get me where I wanted to be and I am not talking about a Ferrari or Maserati, no I am talking about a system or a business of somekind only I didn't know specifically what that was. Even when Hub Pages presented itself to me I never considered to start with that this was my vehicle. I now know that long term if I apply myself and learn from the fantastic people I have around me I will succeed here.

This is my vehicle. I knew the Internet in some form would allow me to be successful I just didn't know where to start.

You may notice that I am talking as though I am already successful. It is the way to go and you should all Fake It Until You Make It. Your sub conscious mind will believe that you are this hot shot Internet success and find ways to make this your reality, this I am convinced of.

There will be set backs along the way and boy have people I know had set backs recently. And you people know who you are. You will get over these and come out strong from the experiences. Who knows it may well manifest in your writing here.

Number 15 down. 15 to go.

Stop and take in the view

Tonight I am going to stop and take a look at the view from half way. My friend Ardie suggested that it maybe a good idea to take a day off. This I feel is good advice as I have not been giving a lot of time to my loved ones. Tomorrow will be that day for them. That is why I have doubled the effort today and put out two articles instead of my usual one.

The view from halfway looks truly brilliant and I can't wait to see the view from the top in two weeks time or maybe even less.Who knows?

I have to apologise to my supporters as I have not been as quick to respond to your brilliant comments and votes as I usually am. I will try to rectify this so please forgive me for the moment. Normal service will resume as soon as possible. You will all appreciate how hard it is to publish everyday and continue with your normal routines as well as working for a boss and earning a living.

Thanks for your continued support everyone

Learning the hard way

Is what the 30/30 Hub Challenge is to me. Learning the hard way could not be a more fitting tribute to this daily challenge. All the way through you are learning things about yourself and others. The discipline of doing something for yourself everyday is exciting and has spurred me thus far. The fact that I am doing it alongside two of the best Hubbers around is also of great comfort and inspiration. Thanks to BelaM and Ardie for helping me to get through this. Your advice is keeping me focused and I know we will all finish this with flying colours.

One of the other things I have learned is that the Hub Page Community really get behind and support you in this challenge. A great many of you have not taken up the challenge and say 'oh I could never do that'. I say rubbish, you can all do this, you just have to believe in yourself.

Plan your work and work your plan is my advice and you can do this....not easily because if it was easy everyone would be doing this. If you get organised and plan in advance it can be done.

Look at me, I prepare my days writing in my lunch hour and then write it up when I get home saving me time later in the day when I am most tired.

Since beginning the challenge I have not used any of the titles and material I had prepared ready to start. Every hub I have written so far is from daily happenings and inspiration which has come to me fro various areas of my daily life. Never ever think that you won't have enough material.

Once you get started you cannot stop hub titles finding their way to you. Recognise them and use them is all I have to say on the subject. They become your best articles than the ones where you really have to rack your brains what to write about.

-poshcoffeeco now writes quotes! Whatever next?

Inspiration comes in the strangest of ways and the Internet is the vehicle to achieve all of your dreams. You just have to recognise and take action when the inspiration appears to you.

As I was reading this I looked over in the sidebar to see suggested reading and I saw someone completed a 100 Hubs in 30 Days Challenge...holy cow.

Congratulations on the halfway mark! I really liked what you said here: "I also believe that I am now more open to new opportunities coming my way and being in a state of heightened awareness where I am prepared to act without question where once before I may have taken a step backward." When I was doing the challenge, I felt heightened awareness as well, and simply took it for granted. I am thinking I should do the challenge again simply for that heightened awareness.
