Hub Number One Hundred

Updated on July 11, 2012

Milestone Hub

As I previously mentioned in my hub entitled "hub number fifty", I aim to publish a hub at various milestones as I progress onward and upward in the world of HubPages. And here I am, at the next milestone!

This Hub: Number 100

Length of time on Hubpages: 25 days

Total earnings to date: $4.22

Number of total page views: 2,324

Future Milestones

Although this may change, in the future I intend on publishing a similar milestone for the following numbers of hubs published:

  • 250
  • 500
  • 1000

I didn't join HubPages purely to earn cash - I joined HubPages as an outlet for writing about anything I want to write about. Of course, I was hoping to earn some cash in the process... I can see that using HubPages purely as a cash generating tool is probably an unwise decision, as I think to do that you need to be able to afford to put the time into it, when most of us are actually holding down a full time job at the same time! However, as you can see in less than a month I have earned nearly $5 - not a lot, but at a guess this figure can only continue to stay the same each month for as long as the Hubs are published.

What I've gained

I've been fortunate enough on my journey through HubPages so far to come across some fantastic fellow hubbers who have either helped me in some way, supported me or just served as an inspiration. Listing all would be foolish of me, but I'd like to shout out to chrisinhawaii who is a fantastic writer and an entertaining individual, and also phillydreamer who is a wonderfully supportive and skilled poet.

I've also found the 'groups' button in the 'my account' section. OK, cue the 'how didn't you see it before' jeers, but for those of you who haven't found it - it comes in handy!

I also wondered whether I would have carried on with 'hubbing' after my initial burst, but because HubPages allows for such a vast expanse of variety and free thought, ploughing through Hubs just keeps happening.

Anyway, onward and upward!

Nice to hear from you Chris.

My hubbing has slowed considerably (it seems that my clients have all returned from holiday and I have to put a bit more time into real work!), but I'm still pushing a few out from time to time.

Out of the 15,000 views or so, about 10,000 are mainly made up of one single hub (why buy an iPhone) and occurred within about a week from a single traffic source then stopped...

Anyhow, I hope things are wonderful in Hawaii (and I hope you're not dressing in grass skirts too often!)

      Take care

Hey John. I haven't been seeing your name pop up in my email notifications for a while, but as I recall you seem to publish a new hub every 5 minutes, so I figured I'd come see what interesting and amusing ideas have been pouring out of your brain that I've been missing.

Hub 100! Already?! Man, that's awesome! Keep 'em coming! And thanks for the shout-out. I really appreciate that.

Anyways, congrats on blowing past the 100 hub mark (and the 10,000 views mark too). I'm glad to see you're still around.

      Aloha buddy! =)
