Hubpages on iPhone

Updated on November 29, 2011

Update: The iphone app has been spruced up consistently in small steps and it is shaping up well! Some extra functions have been added like for questions and answers. It is also less prone to suddenly crashing halfway.

This is an overview of the hubpages application as it is on the iPhone currently. It is currently in some form of testing version. It is a small file and can be downloaded quickly over you iphone. It is currently very limited in functionality as the developers are still working on it and soliciting feedback so if you have an iphone and some spare time you may be able to help them out by downloading it! They will occasionally send emails to ask for feedback and that is a good time to tell them what features you would want on it!

What it currently does

It can currently show feeds that is similar to that of the hubtivity you will see on your computer, what you can do following the feeds is of course more limited. It still satisfies most of the main purposes of a feed.

Moderate comments and fan mail
You can quickly approve comments and fan mail from the account tab, this is good if you get a lot of those as you can sieve it on the train or on your commute or when you have plain nothing to do! It seems to be much more limited when you want to go over their hub and take a look and leave comments or give them a bump like a shout out to them, which is a bit of a bummer. I guess these features will come out in a future release. I do find myself having the tendency to moderate comments and fan mail from the phone these days instead of waiting til I obtain a computer with a proper keyboard.

This does a good job of mimicking the hub hopper, which I have been given to believe was in part inspired by the site where one Stumbles supposedly Upon on something. I am unsure how to flag bad hubs but if you enjoy hopping from random hubs to another and leaving mainly positive thumbs up and some signals then this would satisfy that need rather satisfactorily and this would depend on your personal taste!

Would you like to see the ability to edit or create hubs on the hubpages iphone app in the future?

What would be good to see in it in the future

The ability to edit or add hubs
I think this would be one feature that would be hotly requested by everyone who is using the applet, especially the ability to edit and improve upon the hubs on the go. Its like when you go, oh! I forgot to add that, and you wish to add that in when you would want this feature to be inside the hubpages iphone app already so you could make the edit or improvement on the spot!

I think you can check on your own questions but unable to utilize the full Hub answers system. Less important but would be good.

Nice review - I agree being able to edit and add hubs would be most helpful.

Informative and thanks for you input. I like you think to have the ability to edit or add hubs would be an asset.
