Hug of The Day...Very 1st Hug to Clara Kish on HubPages
For the first Hug of HubLove I bring you someone I just recently found and was amazed at. She has been here at Hub Pages for four years, she lives with her son in Mt Perry, Ohio and has a best buddy dog, Tawny, to keep her company. We have someone here that puts their spare time to good use teaching anyone who will listen. God bless her every effort!
We love you Clara!
Have you been to read Clara yet?
Number one hug
She writes so beautifully from the heart; unashamedly, for the Lord. She has been writing since 1945! She, I think you will find, is just one of those people you want to know. I can imagine sitting and talking to this lady and enjoying her company and conversation so much and I think a hug would not be out of the question! So I present this hug of the day to…Clara Kish!
Whether you read anymore of this writing or not please click on one of Clara's links below and stop by and give Clara a hub hug, will you? It would be such a nice thing to do. Just say hi and God bless everyone who does! She knows nothing about this little hug! (Well, she does now!) Be her surprise today! God loves Clara and so do we! clarakish
I miss you Clara; hope you are well.

How the World Has Changed
Sweetest name I know
- Poems Only In The Name Of God's Only Son
God knows where America stands today ,we pray to Him to save our nation but we have taken God out of everything , we have allowed it to happen and did nothing about it ,now evil rules, better return to God!!
Clara speaks here of what America has become today, how different she is than when our country was built. At that time we taught children to pray and were not ashamed of God’s name unlike today’ to worship and thank him for all things. She tells us here that is us who have changed for God never will.
- A Tingle and a Jingle
We all need a tingle and a jingle in our life at times.Sometimes for no apparent reason God will send it to us.Thank God that he knows without our asking for something to cheer us up.
Does God come to cheer us up on sad days when we least expect it? Clara thinks so in this beautiful poem about a tingle and a jingle. I would love to believe so and why not? He is our father and He has more love than can be imagined.
- I Must Take Him Everywhere
If you want to live for Jesus you must commit your life to Him and do only what He would be pleased to have you do.He is not a Sunday Display just to show people that you do worship the Lord on Sunday. the rest of the week belongs to you.It just does
Don't be a Sunday Christian
Clara I think in this writing tells us she is no different from any of us, but she has lived and she has learned. She will only tell you what the bible says, what God says. It may seem harsh at times but better to be up front and truthful when it comes to a soul or giving God's word.
Easy way to Heaven
- Gold Can't Buy A Home In Heaven
If gold would buy you a way into Heaven a poor man would have no chance getting into the Pearly Gate. All the rich men in the world would be there.Thank God ,money can't but you a place up there . All you have to do is give Jesus your heart.Sounds si
If a rich man could buy his way into Heaven what would it be like? Would anyone want to go? Find out the simple way to have a home in Heaven, where no money or riches are necessary. Eye has not seen nor ear heard the things God has prepared for us. Shouldn't we all be waiting like children on Christmas morning? I try to imagine every now and then but I just smile at my Lord for I want the surprise knowing it is better than anything I could think up!
Is it end times?
- Lord, Let My Life Speak
If you look around I am sure that you will agree that we are in the last chapter of this Book Of Life. It looks like everything that Jesus predicted has happened or is in the process of being fulfil
Days are short
Oh my; how many of us have wished our life could speak for us? This reminds me of my “Love Lifted Me” poem where I speak of meeting people who you just wish you could be. Their light does shine, and Clara says here that is how we all should be and reminds us that time is running out.
Idle hands/devil's workshop
- Too Much Time On The Hands Of A Mischievous Child
You have seen children whose parents have always tried to give them everything that they want . Maybe the child wants more time with their parents , not gifts. Maybe they want parents not buddies!
Idle hands are the devil's workshop
The title speaks for itself. Idle hands are the devils workshop, no? How many children end up in so much trouble because of all the free time they have? Surely feeding their hearts with good things could make a difference. She what Clara with plenty of experience has got to say.
Knock and the door will open
- Things We Called Fun Until We Met Jesus
I guess at times it is good to remember where we were at one time in our life.We can look back and thank The Lord that He ever came along and picked us up . If not for Jesus where would we be now
Thank God for the lighthouse
How God does change us once we get to know Him. What we use to call fun no longer looks good to us. We begin to see through God's eye the evil of our ways and it is just not fun to us anymore. Once we are Gods the Holy Spirit teaches us right from wrong. We cannot count Jesus blood He shed on the cross for nothing.
Love thy neighbor
- Friends Are Folks Wonderful To Know
In the old days they always speak about we had more time for friends and to spend time with them .Everything was not so much hurry as it is now ,How did we get to this place where everything is rush
He ain't heavy he's my brother
Having true friends and one who will never let you down, and always be there is so wonderful. Clara has little comments after her beautiful and/or informative poetry and in this we get a little glimpse of Clara emailing a friend of sixty years! I hope Clara comes up for an interview on Hp so we can find out even more about her life, don't you?
Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death
- Tell Us Before You Cross Over
When we cross over to the hereafter we must be ready to meet Jesus on that day.Life is usually unexpected so we should make sure our Eternity will be spent in Heaven. We must go to Jesus now.
It is appointed unto man once to die and we all face that valley of the shadow of death and although we would like to all know that day and hour we do not. It is the way God set things up to be and accepted it we must! I so love this writing and Clara’s ending sentence says it all!
- I Had A Strange Dream Last Night
It is funny sometimes how those strange dreams come in the middle of the night, are they real just a figment of our imagination or is it just a warning of what will come to us if we don't change our
I had a dream
I think Clara just got a little menace in her for this one to make a very good point but she reminds me here of the everlasting body we will get in eternity, wherever we go. Life is eternal and who would want eternal that is not good?
We live in a messed up world
- The Whole World Is In A Turmoil
This whole world is messed up now ,not just our country. If you have been reading your Bible you can see what will be in our near future. No one can predict when , we know it is all in God's Hands w
The mess the world is in
We can all see the mess the world is in today, everywhere on earth and there is no denying it. Clara gives you the straight shot truth, like it or lump it, it is simple and your choice to make.
Do unto others
If tomorrow never comes
- If I Have Tomorrow
It seems we are always making plans of what we want to do or what we would do if we had more time and money.I guess we spend a lot of time day dreaming. There are a lot of things that would not cost money and that would bring joy to others. Sometimes
We all will do better tomorrow won’t we? Don’t we all have that plan and tell ourselves that? How many of us put off until tomorrow what we know we should do today? Do we tell someone we will help them with something but never get around to it? This ties in to the video I have here but now Clara says it in poetry.
Remember to tell them you love them!
