Discussion About Hubpages Income Program
Hubpages instituted their own income system for members of this community; although I am not computer literate enough to understand the mechanisms and algorithms. Yet, I comprehend that when checking the dashboard in the Hubpages back office, a tally of money earned appears. Whether you review your status once a day or weekly, I'm sure you will immediately notice your income shining in bright blue colors. Strangely, they didn't use the color of money, green, but something a bit more soothing.
You need a PayPal account to participate in the program. When your earnings reach $50 on Hubpages, you will receive a direct deposit into your account on the 22nd day of each month. In contrast, Google adsense pays out in the last week of the month after you reach $100 [twice as much] before you get your earnings.
Most Asked Questions About The Program.
Check out the official Frequently Asked Questions section and scroll down to the two subsections 1) Making Money on Hubpages and 2) The Hubpages Ad Program. The steep learning curve for newbies to Hubpages may turn some away, but the rewards can be great if you are willing to stick it out. Start with something small, not too fancy, and get your feet wet.
One place to start if you sign up is the Hub Hopping section to read the types of articles being written in real time. You may rate them, pass some over, and find some gems.
Pennies From Heaven
A Dollar A Day
If you are interested in belonging to an author's community [sometimes called a content mill] and wish to try your hand at writing blogs that can also provide a stream of income, I encourage you to join Hubpages. You will get a nice profile page, to write your bio, link your website and list all of your Hubpages articles. Over time your fans will grow and so will your monthly 'green.'
The behind the scenes team of administrators keeps the pulse on social networking, Google upgrades and changes and how to present each member with the Hubpages Brand. And, if you can keep within the ever changing guidelines then your hubs will be read and supported by this community of authors.
You will learn the limitations and the variety of ways to decorate, organize, and compose elements of your Hubpages blog. There are numerous tutorials provided both by the administration and by individuals, like myself, who like to share some tricks and hints we learn along the way to making superb Hubpages blogs.
You may ask yourself whether it is worth all the time, effort and energy to write a blog here for a few pennies a day? The answer depends on if you get a kick off of the feedback from seeing a dollar sign or whether you need a bigger jolt of $10, $20, $50 or more as incentive to write.
Are you the type of person who picks up a penny off the ground when you spot one, or do you walk right by? I remember a study that showed most people will leave the penny laying on the ground without so much as a nod. However, some great personalities coined a few telling phrases that may stick in our minds.
Consider this, the longevity of your work on Hubpages may stretch out for years. That one blog that earns a few cents today, could add up to much more over the course of time.

A Light-Hearted Look On Life's Troubles
I'm adding the smile song to tell everyone to keep their chin up and keep going. Charlie Chaplin exemplifies this happy attitude. The number of Hubpages discussions about the many rapid unexpected changes to the way the adsense, google and hubpages monetary systems work can put a frown on your face. That won't look too good, nor will it improve the situation.
Rather, we're in this together, so maybe someone can get us out of this mess. We would all like to learn how to improve ratings, get more views, make relevant material that people want to read, post appropriate links and possibly get a few more pennies into the bank.
I just love the different shapes, sizes, colors and expressions of the faces in this video. I'm sure they can tell us something about the person's innate attitude on life. Maybe if I study those facial analysis books I will learn to understand people better. Or perhaps they're all smiling because they earned a few bucks for making this song! Now, that's something to sing about.
Some Money Worthy Quotes
A penny saved is a penny earned. ~ Benjamin Franklin
Although it may not be gaining value tucked away in the bank, the more of them you save, the more likely they will add up to something that you can use to purchase material goods or donate to a worthy cause as time passes by.
If you would be wealthy, think of saving as well as getting. ~ Benjamin Franklin
Could Benji be overly concerned about money? Was he the type that would take a risk, or maybe he took so many risks and lost so much in his ventures that at one point in his life, he decided to take the safe route to wealth and simply pocket all his earnings.
He that is of the opinion money will do everything may well be suspected of doing everything for money. ~ Benjamin Franklin
We hear his moral conscious speaking about a person's motivation to earn more and more, without taking stock in the aspects of life that may be of greater value.
A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it. ~ Bob Hope
Bob may have lived in a different generation, but his words ring true in today's economy. Small business owners have a difficult time getting any loans. In addition, investing, by stashing your money away in a bank with these low interest rates, pays a return much less than investing in the longterm relationship with Hubpages and your talent as a writer.
Talking about banks and the best way to save, everyone knows that the safest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it in your pocket. ~ Kin Hubbard
I'm wondering if there is a special bit of magic to that gesture. That 'double-fold' creates a thicker wade of currency, whereas you can't feel a thing when the money goes into the bank.
I suppose one of our contemporary leaders in the financial market tells his motivation, but I truly question the validity of his remarks. Money was never a big motivation for me, except as a way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the game. ~ Donald Trump
In today's day and age, I think money is on everyone's minds. Our economy stress factor compare to a crack in the system. We're waiting for it to split apart at the seams. So, if you are part of the human race and will face the fact that you ARE concerned about money, have the desire, talent and time to devote to writing some articles then I give it a thumbs up to Hubpages.
The only way not to think about money is to have a great deal of it. ~ Edith Wharton
Edith was a wise business woman and understood that something of concern and worry will stay on your mind. Once you gain success and acquire enough money to provide a sense of security, it would not plaque your mind anymore.
A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore. ~ Yogi Berra
Yogi went up a few coins from pennies, to nickels and then to dimes. Not only didn't he "double" his money because you can't fold over the coins like paper currency, but the value, which he once felt could have twice the purchasing power, no longer could buy much at all.
