The Truth About My Hubwriting!

Updated on June 27, 2012

This is a very old hub but I wanted to publish it anyways.

I'm going to tell you a little about

Well, first off, lately I haven't had my computer at my disposal when I want to, so I use the library alot. (This can limit my ability to use my own photos and to watch videos and stuff.)

I love writing really. Writing itself is fun, theraputic, exciting (when I feel inspired) and fun :-) Writing hubs for me is a challenge, an occupation, a duty, a hobby. I am literally writing this hub on the editing tools......from scratch. I am that confident (95%) of the time, I don't write a draft first.

I think it's exciting to just "GO FOR IT". Of course , I do edit (later----when I have time or right after if necessary.) Actually, though, it's really better to write a draft first and save it for at least a couple days and re-read it, and edit.

I also love to prove a point, argue a point, or learn something, or just get off my chest things. I will admit, I (hate) doing research, I like writing from experience (though I do research sometimes).

Lastly, I am amazed my hubscore is 94 right now (when I spend so little time writing---(as in drafts, etc) But I must admit, thought I'm "lazy" I like to see other hubs with pictures, and nice layouts, and (time put into them). Well, that's changed (written 2 mo later...) I now know it's key to include a video, pics, and capsules.

How much time do you spend on each of your hubs on average?

See results

I think I need to step up

I do think I need to write more and keep up more with commenting/reading/forums etc.

I do need to LINK (suggest links) my articles and put in my RSS codes. This lacking access to my computer is not too good...........(I'm inbetween moving and living like a gypsy.......a laptop would be nice)

I'm surprised some of my (least expected hubs have made it to the top!!!!

Okay (Update!!~and reality check!) You need to grow....along with your experience and your hubs. It must take time--it's necessary--you can't learn it all at once (unfortunately!)

This is just a fancy word for creating links to your hubs from facebook, twitter,, and other social networking sites.

SEO- Search Engine Optimization, Please look for keyword tool below this text. Put in your web address (for your hubpage) or keywords, click search, select EXACT below on left (not broad).

Feel free to ask me questions and I'll make another hub if I can help:)

This is a very old hub. Things have obvioulsy changed. I've received two checks in the past few months and I'm earning some money.

Sorry you are not making any $$. I know we cannot count on that but just hope. So , this is your 6th or 7th month? Well, I've heard it can take 4-8 months. I will check your hubs...I think you probably have the google ads cause they automatically show up. (I have those and Amazon. You join Amazon and just select the amazon capsule) Are you signed up w/ Google? (you have to give them your tax info. )

thankyou , I'm glad you enjoy my articles. SG

schoolgirlforreal; I've been writing since January.

I started because I am a religious man looking for a way to do my evangelic work in order to reach as many people as I possibly can with God's Word.

I also wrongfully hoped that since I am unemployed, I might generate a little income too. Wrong! As the Bible teaches us you cannot serve two masters, money and God.

I signed up for the various techniques to try and make money, maybe I'm not doing it right, I don't know how to attach ads to my hubs, but I haven't made even 1 cent off my writings, but I have discovered such a joy in sharing God, that it just doesn't matter anymore.

Schoolgirl; Ive had the opportunity now to read several of your Hub articles, and I can see that they are well thought out and planned. You do a very good job with your presentations, and I enjoy reading from you.

      Brother Dave.

I'm just starting my hub, and I have no idea how to work the adverts and links and all that other fancy stuff either lol. You seem to be doing well without it, though! Kudos!
