Inspiration for HubPages Hubbers - Make $50,000 a Year!

Updated on November 6, 2010

How One Hubber May Show Us How To Make Big Money Online

In a recent hub of mine about Hubbers Sharing their AdSense Earning, I mentioned that Traceye was doing very well. This is what she reported after taking the 30 Hubs in 30 Days challenge:

This is the total I've made over the last 30 or so days since starting the challenge:

AdSense: $28.35
Amazon: $304.61
Other (my sales/affiliate sales): $136.33

Total Profit: $469.29

Not bad eh?

Let's look at those numbers for a moment, and play with them a little.

Traceye made a total of $469.29 with 30 hubs.

If we divide that total by 30, the number of hubs, we get $15.64 per hub.

If we multiply $15.64 by 12, we get an average income of $187.68 per hub per year.

Now here is where I am going to "play" a little bit with the numbers. Based on Traceye's very real results, I am going to say that Traceye can easily average $200.00 per year per hub. After all, she was just starting out when she took the 30 Hubs in 30 Days challenge, and will undoubtedly improve as she tries different strategies and different topics.

So if our goal is $50,000.00 a year, and we average $200.00 per hub, we need exactly 250 hubs to reach our goal!

Incidentally ... if you write a hub a day with weekends off, and take a two week holiday when you do not write any hubs at all, you will write exactly 250 hubs a year!

So what are you waiting for? Write one great hub a day; Take weekends off; Enjoy two weeks off a year ... and make $50,000.00 doing it!

The Above Results Are Not Typical

UPDATE: While the above numbers are, and remain, inspiring, they do not seem to be typical of successful Hubbers (defining success as making the "average", insofar as I can calculate them, earnings of Hubbers considered by themselves and others to be doing well).

Average earnings for "typical" Hubbers seems to be some small amount over $10.00 per hub per year. Which can still add up to a nice monthly cheque if you have enough hubs paying into the pot. The really great thing is that both sets of numbers show something of the range of possibilties. You can get decent to remarkable returns for your work here on HubPages ... some luck and happenstance is going to come into play, but I believe that if you put in the hard work and pay attention to the possibilities you can (and will) earn far more than the average $10.00 per hub per year.

I think you should Join Hubpages Today and see how far a little (ok, a lot of) writing can really take you!

Great hub! And it's true. But just remember - that would have to be 250 hubs that get visitors... some hubs no matter how well researched just sink. Other hubs just don't get clicks from traffic.

But $50,000 a year? I'm definitely going to aim for that!

woow, that's some serious cash by just writing, looks easy. The only problem is getting people to vist and telling everyone about your hubpage, and then making sure you write a good hub. In the end hopefully we'll all make 50 grand a year, but it's up to the writer, great hub thanks for the information.
