It is time to put the blame on someone, for my low traffic scores! Or maybe, just accept; then write and forget scoring.

Updated on February 8, 2014

How I treat that keyboard is up to me.

I do not need the letters to know what key to hit.
I do not need the letters to know what key to hit.

The blame is only half the game. Solutions are the other half.

Hey I just got hired to investigate the fraudulent accounting of pass through payments for advertising. Yahoo this should be fun.

Traffic is dropping, reporting is inconsistent, new algorithms are not working. And writers on the net are upset. This writer is mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore. OK I tried to get mad and then it hit me how fun it all is. But it is fun to let your mind go wild and look for conspiracies as to why I am a dismal failure.

We Need to blame somebody right now!

First let us look at two writers, very different, that I see just way too much traffic going their way. Billybuc and Wayne Brown. They must be somehow stealing my traffic. How could they have so many more hits than me and so many more comments. I am quite sure I would get most of their traffic if they were not getting it. And let us not forget about the “recipe” gang, they take all of my traffic on eating, what up with dat?

The online writing sights like this one. Obviously they are not reporting all my traffic. I suggest they are skimming about 20% for themselves. It seems quite clear the Rolly and MsDora have a separate deal where the owners push traffic their way. And what about that Theresa, she just breathes on piece and it eclipses all other. Do not even get me started on that Lastheart and James Watkins clearly they are giving kickbacks.

As hard as it is for most writers to get, they are in the top 15% of all thinkers on earth.

A gal who writes just 1 blog per day is in the top 1% of intellectuals in the world. Just think about that for a moment. In the world this hubber is right around the millionth web addresses in the world. Not by grace or skill but by determination and a desire.

Give me this keyboard any day.

My 3 year olds keyboard. Recognize, Realize, adapt and overcome.

Ealry on he just could not help but pick at the keys. Now he has adapted and knows which to press without the letters.
Ealry on he just could not help but pick at the keys. Now he has adapted and knows which to press without the letters.

The larger we grow the less traffic we will get. Access is slowing but writers are growing.

True life conspiracies

Google is the worst of the ringleaders. They have two goals – make money and hold all us poor people down, and muffle our voices. Google is clearly siphoning money in order to set up themselves as an outer space powerhouse that can control the earths’ rotation.

The largest conspiracy is my favorite and someday I will expose them. The translation and spell check and seo and keyword consortium. They want us all to think alike and nothing will stop them. They are making it so that a barely literate Vietnamese person can speak into a machine and instantly it creates an article that can persuade an Israelite that the holocaust is a hoax. And then they are shooting the article to the top of Google. This is scary stuff folks!

Just the other day I wrote a great piece on how to remove gum from the bottom of your shoe!! Then I come to find out that Google owns huge stock in gum companies. So of course they did not want all that bad talk of gum on shoes so they refused to include me in the engine thing they have. I understand that anything with my name on it is instantly reviewed by a team of twenty people to find things wrong with it.

Yes this poor child spends too much time with blocks.

But he also has a leapfrog. Although they banned him for failing to include key words.

Where does the blame belong?

Too many folks think that they should make money on the internet without contributing to its’ welfare. To many folks get disheartened by having to compete against programs. So many folks think they should learn how to do it in 2012 and still be ahead in 2013. Whining is a twitter and internet favorite sport. But that is what it is – sport. Real pros like those mentioned above, read their own work and evaluate, they will not let the net evaluate them.

Someone may ask who is Eric to be an authority? I only have one credential. I started in policy and practices for the internet in 1998. And that only gives me authority because I have watched what happens here when good women do nothing. When they are so wrapped up in the instant traffic and money they forget that the net is their tool and they are not a tool of the net.

There is something happening here -- it is not real clear. So just listen here and get the scoop.

A reality in our lives - so sad.

How can we move forward if we allow ourselves to be stuck in the present?

Today is not the first day of the rest of my life. It is the last day of the past of my life (ed 2012)

Are you already over today?

Yes we live in the moment, but this moment does not include 4 hours ago. Can you let go?

Hi, your article gives me food for thought. I'm still fairly new at hubpages but have encountered several problems that I can't seem to fix - one of which is broken links. Can't seem to get them fixed. No system is ever perfect and, while I will continue to add hubs to my account, I am putting other things out in other places that actually pay a bit better. I do enjoy writing enough so that I will keep on adding hubs. I keep me at my writing which is a valuable asset to me. I honestly don't know what to think of the problems people are reporting - I just haven't been at it long enough myself. Thanks for sharing, thought. As I said, its all food for thought.

Jane, as far as business goes a diversified portfolio is always best. For instance you may easily have a site with more cash, but hubpages may be a better platform for exposure. You not only want to sell your writing but increase you network.

Do not pass judgment aexept on your own work, I am sure you are critic enough.

Great advice, Eric! Thanks for the mention. You make some excellent points. All this sniveling about money....there are other reasons to write, or did I get dropped on my head one too many times as a child?

Lol! I love your sense of humour and specially with the keyboard. That's so funny! I can't complain...google or SEO is simply not in my control (or is it?) If it works today, well and good. If not, there's still tomorrow.

I haven't done any hub these days, been busy with other stuff outside HP. For now, I'll enjoy reading and commenting on fellow hubbers good hub such as this. So, maybe I should blame you too. Lol! *contemplating*

      Peace~

It is either the dropped on head deal, or we were born to rebel and cut across the grain. Let me know when you get a clue.

Well, what can I possibly say? I love it. I love it. I love it. Clever and funny and right on target. I agree with you, it is all a conspiracy and we are the pawns/slaves that HP and Google force to do their bidding.

I really enjoyed this and I would have enjoyed it even if you hadn't mentioned me (thank you kindly by the way, for your generous words), but truth be told I am vain enough to enjoy seeing my name in print. :) Great Hub. Have a great weekend. :)

We all like to see our name in print - and HubPages does give me exposure. I have no complaints. I am enjoying my writing and the many people I have connected with here. So far, this is a very positive experience for me. Thanks y'all!

Eric, you made me smile to see my name mentioned. Thanks! The piece is funny altogether, but for me, it raises a question. How does the effort we make measure up to the reason that we do what we do? If we think we're pursuing a meaningful purpose, then let's keep going. We'll get there! Great last sentence.

MsDora, I hope that here we will someday be judged. I would be happy to be judged on my work here, as I am sure you would be.
