My Hubpages Association-Overwhelming Half A Year

Writer's Thoughts

My Literary Journey

I had written an essay in an English national newspaper in remembrance of my gifted elder brother after his untimely death

( To know my late brother you may read -http://arunkanti.hubpages.com/hub/READING-HABITS )

and since publication of the piece drawing admiration from my friends and others I could imagine myself to be a beginner writer capable of writing on varied topics but as I did not have any experience in literary matters I was in the dark about implementing my plan to go ahead with my writing jobs. My service life was full of responsibilities and I did not have spare time to engage in literary efforts either. While browsing among the different websites offering scope to the budding writers to try their hands at writing prowess, I discovered Hubpages one day and the articles enticed me to explore the possibilities of associating with the website at least to taste my capability as a writer. After registration formalities I published the first hub http://arunkanti.hubpages.com/hub/SONA-MAMA-AND-THE-CHARM-OF-REAL-INDIA My efforts were rewarded much to my joy and surprise and as many writers and visitors began to applaud the ascetic person I portrayed. It was a real life story without any imagination thrown in and up till now this story has remained the best hub among my 20 write-ups published on Hubpages drawing already more than 1000 viewers so far. I do not know whether other writers have such a pleasant experience of success in their maiden effort but the unexpected publicity really goaded me further to delve into the art in search of more and more gems.

Then came my second favorite hub http://arunkanti.hubpages.com/hub/RAMU-AS-A-DIVINE-BLESSSINGbased on another true life story. It has also received rousing response so much so that almost 1000 viewers have already been recorded. My life is full of interesting incidents and I have since tried to share some of them with the readers worldwide but all along I had a lurking doubt whether the stories based in India or particularly in West Bengal would impress the viewers of other nationalities. But surprisingly I have gradually found out that language or the actual place of happening is no barrier and all the people of the world are bound by a bond of kindred and are interested to know one another sharing significant experiences. And Hubpages is doing the enviable job of connecting them while helping to discover the hidden talent!

Hubpages A User Friendly Site

As I have realized that the site is proving to be very suitable for my favorite job, I have had the rare scope of being introduced to a few eminent writers on Hubpages. They are not only talented and prolific in their realms of literary works but are also very keen to help others particularly the budding writers to give them the much needed support and encouragement they need from time to time. Since divulging the names of those writers would amount to indecency let me show my innermost heartfelt gratitude to them shielding the secrets, thereby possibly adding to the romance and mystery of their valuable contribution.

Compliments to Fellow Hubbers

First and foremost I am indebted to a writer who walks a long like me but he has allowed me to learn how to be creative in the process with keen observations, photography and pondering over how to correlate the different scenic beauties and incidents to weave meaningful stories after returning home. As I knew only to walk down memory lane to bring out rich and interesting anecdotes to publish hubs he finds such food regularly while stepping out on foot. Yet another great writer is always busy sharing all the relevant information to find quick success in writing media or how to develop creative writing skills, among others. I cannot ignore the rich contribution of another friend who has enriched us by dwelling on the unknown facts about the valuable fruits and vegetables. His sound theoretical knowledge in such subjects and later in-depth research in his service life must have given him the opportunity to write such wonderful hubs which require sincere efforts, dedication and perseverance. My dear friend who is an expert on photography and photo shop jobs besides being an educated agriculturist always looking after his family members with proper care and empathy has given me the answer to the query why I should be associated with Hubpages. Although I should not extend such figures carving out a niche for themselves, for reasons only of brevity, I sincerely extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every member of the community who has at least gone through my works.

While soothing and warm memories linger in my mind I wish to contribute regularly to the site with a fond hope to receive constructive opinion of my viewers to enable me to shape my hubs more effectively. Writing on Hub Pages, like others, I have expected traffic, followers and money. But so far I have been successful in opening my Paypal account only and have failed to sign up for Google Ad sense and enroll in the Hubpages Ad program and become an Amazon affiliate. But I firmly believe my friends on Hubpages will help me in the matter.

Hi, my global village neighbor and good friend, Arun!

You've managed to share with us this day a Hub that commemorates your wonderful start with HP as well as a lovely and heartwarming tribute to your peers. Thank you so much for your gracious words!

I truly believe, as you do, that a life of service--even and especially in this literary community--reaps us a return that is rewarding far beyond any fiscal value. Like you, I revel in the camaraderie of writer peers and the magnitude of global sharing and connectivity.

Thank you for being a wonderful fellow inhabitant of Mother Earth and for your tremendous contributions to the betterment of the HubPages community as well as our global village.

Aloha and blessings from SE Washington!
