My Seventh Year Anniversary On HubPages: My Journey
Red and yellow, black and white, all are precious in his sight.
I was notified that I'd reached my seventh year anniversary, writing on HubPages last week. It gave me pause to reminisce and remember the good times and special friends I've met along the way. It really has been like a journey.
I remember well the first hub I wrote and my first comment. It was from Martie who lives in South Africa. We became fast friends, emailing each other, talking about our heart hurt's. Soon we moved on to more pleasant topics, like travel.
Martie had a one legged pilot who was on standby to take us anywhere our heart's desired.
We went to Hollywood to see the stars. We found a Goodwill store where the stars had donated clothing for charity. Boy, did we have fun trying on satin and sequin gowns and wrapping up in fur pieces. We learned what the old cliché meant, ' Shopping till you dropped. ' What a fun day that was!
Next she took me, Epi, Micky and Fossillady to Africa to see the beautiful white bears. We had a blast, and I'm sure the area will never be the same, what a night!
Fossillady took us all to Woodstock. Talk about fun, we all got as high as the sky, and we met Bill Clinton in the crowd...Wooah!!
My friend Nell who lives in England took us to the Royal Wedding. I hate to admit it, but we almost spoiled the happy event. Nell placed us in full view of the Queen, and I'm sure she alerted Scotland Yard to keep close watch on some peculiar acting tourists.
And of course I will never forget the happy times we all had at Mike's Emerald Wells Café. We all met there daily, good food, good friends. A jukebox that played our favorite Elvis songs. We'd dance and sip a little wine while Mike was writing his poetry.
That's where we all met Dusty. He'd come in and order a humongous breakfast and tell us all about his farm adventure's. Dusty passed away, but his memory lives on. His picture hangs on the wall and is a treasured part of the Café we all loved so much.
So many adventures, so many friends, reading and writing, and meeting new friends along the way. To list them all would be a gigantic chore. Some write poetry, some write short stories. Some write recipes, and some write about a topic, and we learn something new. Billybuc answers our many writing question's. All in all, It's a wonderful group of people who loves to write and share their life journey's.
I will say that my life has been enriched just knowing there are good and loyal people all over the world, and I've traveled to places I only dreamed about.
Writing has become a treasured part of my life. I wouldn't have missed this journey for all the tea in China! Humm I haven't been to China. Any takers? lol
In closing, I an definitely not the same person I was seven years ago
I've learned to love again, forgiveness lives inside my ego
I wake up each day hoping my muse is awake and anxious to write words that will inspire others
To all my cyber friends, I fondly call my sister's and brother's.
