My way to money on Hubpages - First Chapter of "Pole can do it"

Updated on November 27, 2011

Why I named this Hub “Pole can do it”

I’m from Poland, country in Eastern Europe.

Polish combining talents, determination and great ideas on Bob The Builder or MacGyver scale made us famous in our continent. There is word of wisdom “Pole can do it” (pol. Polak Potrafi).

Poland is country which survived one thousand year of wars (!!!) with small brakes between them. We were occupied by Prussia, Russia and Austria. It was a century, when Poland did not exist. After the First World War we got independence. 20 years later Poland was invaded by Hitler and Stalin and it was a beginning of Second World War. Ending of war was a purpose of 40 years under communist occupation. We just survived and now we are free. Because “Pole Can do it”.

Motivation for writing this Hub

This Hub will not be long, but this is not its disadvantage. Main task of this Hub is not wasting your time. I wrote this Hub because I want to show you something important and – by the way – tell you interesting story about my way to Rentier State.

It is wise thing to build house with few walls. There is no possibility to build home on one wall because it will fall down. If I will build a roof on two walls I will have a problems with cold winter nights. If I will build house with 3 walls, I can be robbed. I’m sure for that I must build a house with all walls and pillars – in case of need.

This old truth seems to be more true for me. I’m married and I hope to have child soon. Education of a child is not cheap in my country.

I can say with all honesty, that I’m not normal youngster.

I found my first job when I was 19. Average career initiation in my country is 25.

I started first business when I was 20, but it falls. People in my country are not similar with business.

I established first business when I was 23. Only 3% of all businesses in my country survives to be established. It is sad true that government are not supporting.

In my country it is not average state, unhappily. Many people, even adults are poor and unorganized. I’m not any kind of millionaire or anything like that, but I’m young and enterprising.

Now it is time to set new stream of passive income. HubPages.

I decided to “invade” the HubPages ;-) I hope that I will become great Hubber one day. My goal is to stand on the “History Of Success” table just like Kathryn Vercillo, Marye Audet, Stephhicks68, Glassvisage or Habee. I will write a diary once a quarter with reports and relations from my road to new business adventure.

I want to sign that I was inactive during first six months on Hub Pages so I have only half of year to complete this glorious task ;-)

Goals & Tools

My goals described via SMART method.

This is list of my goals I want to achieve until I will got one year accolade.

"50 published hubs" Accolade

"10.000 Read” Accolade.

"100 followers" Accolade

50 good feedback points (like useful, amazing etc)

Tools will be used in this task

SMART – thanks to it my goals are clearer and easier to achieve.

Quality table – thanks to it I will control my progress.

Flow State – whoohoo! ;-)

How do you think? Will I achieve my goals?

See results

Feelings:

On the one side, I feel that this task is too easy to achieve. Everything is easy if you try to stop talking and start to working on something.

From the second side, I know that this is good to start from easy top so I want no to set “higher” crossbar.

I hope that my example will show you few interesting conclusions and will be an answer for “To Hub or not to Hub” question.
