Publicising your work

Updated on March 3, 2010

Publicising your work

Publicising your work and getting people to view what you have written, making what you have written work for you. Making your written work earn you money as that is what we would like to happen. You may have spent hour’s may even be days writing, rewriting your work, editing and then finally getting it online in Hubpages home page. I know sometime it can be hard to sit down and write your article that you are happy to publish to the online machine.

If you don’t promote your work then it will just sit there in the dark dusty server looking sorry for itself wanting to be viewed by more than a handful of people who are on Hubpages themselves. Your article wants to be viewed by hundreds if not thousands of people, it will be happy to surf the net showing off what you can write. Showing how good you are at putting together a few words and making people happy, informed and laugh. Whether it’s an interest you want to share, inform people of how to promote their site. Perhaps you have a short story or poem to tell and share with everyone.

Tell to whole world

After you’ve published your work on Hubpages website, tell your family, friends, your social networking friends then the whole world. Tell everyone you can think of, the postman, the milkman, the delivery person. Without doing any promoting your article will be sad and lonely, wishing it had been written by someone else. Who would tell the whole world about how wonderful your article is and how good you are at writing.

Promoting, publicising your article your written work is almost as important as writing it. If you want to make anything out of being online writing hoping to make some money from doing so then you have to do some work to promote your work. It’s not easy however but with time I’m sure it will.

As you may be aware it not easy and you seem to be spending more and more time online. The idea of just coming to Hubpages solely to write and be paid seems to disappear. I guess we thought that when we first landed on Hubpages website.

Promoting is the main key to writing and working online without promoting your work you are not going to get far. Promote and promote to work, think of how a company would promote its new product. Your new article is the same as that new product the company as just made. Post your written world online everywhere you can think of there are hundreds of places you can post your work for free. Without promoting your work, your article will just sit there on the Hubpage server feeling sorry for itself.

A happy article is a promoted acticle, promote, promote and promote

Take care and have fun
