Try a new way to gain attention for Hubs that have become stale and stagnant

Many hubbers wonder if social networking or bookmarking sites promote more traffic to your hubs, the answer is yes. Attempt to gain ground with exposing your material using these types of avenues. The venues have been around for a while, but how they are used makes an enormous difference in what results are seen.

Currently there is the capability to submit directly from Hub Pages to Twitter and Facebook. These are two of the largest and most recognized social networks. However, there are hundreds of social networking and bookmarking sites on the web that will also introduce Hub Pages material to new audience members.

Some of the larger sites are wonderful for putting written work in the spotlight, but along with the pros there are some cons to consider as well. Depending on what type of material a writer producers could possibly effect which social networking sites work best for his or her work.

What's wrong with Twitter and Facebook

Remember Twitter is great for promoting any writer's content but most readers are followers. They are already reading your content in most cases which means gaining new audience members is difficult. Most folks fail to have two million people on their Twitter feed which means getting new readers is an absolute must to increase writing income.

The same can be said for Facebook. On Facebook you are posting to your own page. These are people at the present time are connected to you. Your mission is gaining new traffic or readers which converts to increased income.

Try something new

Stumbleupon, Delicious and Digg are three sites that are terrific for submitting your hubs to in order to generate traffic. Stumbleupon has over 1 million page views per day and Delicious and Digg have over 900,000. That is money in the bank or rather money in your pocket. Become a member and create links to your work. Great material is waiting to be discovered.

Enter a Google search engine request for social networking sites and review some of the new ones created every day. Research the advantages and disadvantages to discover which ones are most beneficial to you and making more money using Hubs with these sites.

Find out where traffic is trying to get to

In order to discover where traffic is trying to go or what it wants there are usually trial and errors. This is when analytics or research becomes important. Giving readers what they want is always the way to go. Lots of writers enjoy writing for themselves, but writing for income is the best way to go. If you happen to be fortunate enough to write what you enjoy and have readers also like the same think, great. The chances of this occurring is extremely rare. Therefore, find the sweet spot readers are seeking and fill it with your writing material.Make certain your work is in the exact spot readers are attempting to get to.

Along with my HubPages account I have passive income with other online material. One of the biggest is my blogging efforts. These have proven wonderful as a sort of test subject when it comes to making decisions surrounding moving work around within these circles. Instead of linking Hubs to some new and upcoming social networking site I link a blog page and review the analytics.

Make informed decisions

Making conclusions after research proves to promote more positive outcomes for decisions made moving work around. I own more than several blogs and use Google Analytics on all of them. When researching the information as to where the traffic to my blogs is coming from, I was surprised to find that Stumbleupon ranked number 3 in a lot of cases as to where my readers were finding my work. This was a wonderful place to increase passive income.

I am a supporter of Stumbleupon because of the formatting of the information on their site. They have a feature for a member that is called “stumble”. What the website does is presents contents to you for voting, commenting and reading based upon a reader's personalized interests. Vote up or down and read content you desire or are looking to read.

More than anything it is presenting content to the right audience for you. Readers absorb your material and follow you to other content you have written. The site is capable of presenting entire blogs or websites for a reader to review. Individual articles seem to work better than entire blogs or sites for reader’s interest. Though, if a reader enjoys content you own, they will search for more. Finding it they will certainly read it and become part of an audience which is what you are striving toward.

In conclusion

Getting your hubs to social bookmarking or networking sites may take you some time. After researching and investing, moving around some material feels like a game of chess. Winning means more money as a writer by simply getting content to the right site. However, that is definitely time well spent to have your Hub or even Hubs read.

You have to promote "you" as an author/writer. You definitely have to work at it. There is traffic out there seeking out the content they simply don’t know where to find it. Provide it to them in the easiest way possible. Social networking is continually growing and one of the best ways to put it in front of them.

Although I have discussed only a couple of different sites in this article, when I mention over 100-there actually are. Review them and there may be others that are a better fit you to produce traffic. Readers are vital to being a successful writer. If you are writing for revenue, traffic is the bank that holds your money.

Take the time to promote you and your content through social networking or bookmarking sites and see your hub views increase.

Very useful article. There are some great lesser known sites too, if you happen to be writing articles directed at men, and are similar to Pinterest, but geared to a male audience.
