Four Things I Want People To Know About Hub Pages

Updated on July 2, 2012

I have been a member of Hub Pages for about four years now. I signed up because I thought it was a very interesting site, also because I was looking for places to publish my articles and poems. For one reason or another, I really don't know why, I haven't been back to Hub Pages for almost four years. I have recently returned and cannot be happier. I have learned a lot about Hub Pages since my return. Here are some of the things I wish everyone knew.

Hub Pages is Easy to Use
I have found out how easy Hub Pages is to use. I write my Hubs and after a few clicks of a mouse or touch pad I add capsules to my article and then I am ready to publish. The hardest part of Hub is trying to find the write type of information to write about. Don't be discouraged if you see other Hubs on the same topic as yours. Write what you know, from your point of view and you might be surprised by how well received you Hub might be.

How Much There is To Learn on Hub Pages
I have discovered in the last month the treasure trove of information on Hub Pages. I learned so much about writing Hubs from the online tutorials as well as from other Hubbers (I don't know if that is a word or not but I'll use it anyway. If you are new to Hub Pages I advise you to go to the learning center and read, read, read.

How You Get To Know Other Writers
Another aspect I like about Hub Pages is how you get to know other writers and their work. Each writer on Hub Pages has a unique writing style and point of view. I love to go Hub Hopping or just pick a topic and read other Hubs. In this way I am introduced to other writers and their work. I hate to say I already have my favorite writers because there are so many out, but there are writers I enjoy reading. I love poetry and art so I gravitate to those Hubs. The point is to read and leave feedback. As writers we get to know how well we are doing by your feedback.

How Much Of A Pleasure It Is Just To Read
If I have not mentioned it already I love to read other Hubs. By reading other Hubs I not only learn new stuff I find out the most popular topics on Hub Pages. It is important to know what topics people are reading not because you want to copy them but so you can build on them. I have had different experiences with budgeting, parenting, life and many other areas then anybody else on Hub Pages. When I read some of the Hubs it brings to mind something which has happened to me, so I write about them. I am a poet so I also love to read Hubs on art as well as other Hubber's poems.

I have found there is something for everyone on Hub Pages the key is to go out and find the information you are looking for. Here's to all your success on Hub Pages

I've used a few other sites as well but H/P has worked for me so much better.

I hope you are going to stay here with us to enjoy, Joyce.

I have been an avid user of Blogger since I decided to begin writing and publishing online, however I began to use Hub pages a year ago, drifted away and now I'm back with a completely new blog. The community seems so much better and more interactive than blogger in terms of asking questions/forums and comments. Hub Pages has definitely become my favourite place to write :D

I've tried other sites too, but keep returning to Hubpages. The community is so nice for the most part, and very supportive. I have not found it to be as much so on other sites, though you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket.
