What is a 60 Day Challenge?
Most Hubpage users are familiar with the 30 day challenge, a personal goal of creating 30 hubs in 30 days.
Its a great concept that proves to each of us individually that our output can be much greater than we imagine. It also shows the power of personal goals.
But is it the best of challenges for optimal income generation. No, absolutely not. Its an incomplete challenge, so I am presenting the 60 day Challenge.
Phase 1: HubPages 60 Day Challenge
Just like the 30 Day challenge, we will be creating 30 Hubs in 30 days as the first phase.
Distinct differences:
A participant will select a minimum of 6 broad topics and a maximum of 10 topics that these Hubs will fall into. This topic selection will have important purposes later during the promotion process of the 60 day challenge.
After selecting your broad topics a participant will do their keyword research and begin writing their hubs at their own natural pace.
These broad topics will be used as your groups in the hub platform and as groups in our second phase of promotion.
Goal 1: Publish 30 Hubs in 30 days
Phase 2 : 60 Day Challenge
Taking a cue from HubPages old Flagship hub traffic bonus rules, we are going to spend at least 30 days (there is no reason not to start directly after publishing a new hub) attempting to get each hub to receive one view from 10 different sources.
Goal 2: Receive at least 1 view through 10 different sources after 60 days.
Once we reach 12 SERIOUS participants the challenge will begin
Will You participate in the 60 day Challenge?
How to Participate in the 60 Day Challenge
After deciding you are going to commit to the 60 day Challenge, head on over to here:
Who wants to participate in the 60 Day Challenge
Select Answer this Question and create a hub. Pick any title you like..the hub will be a variation of a "capstone hub" another old HubPages program.
This hub will be your hubchallenge log, you will keep track of your publications and promotion efforts here. It will be a way for other 60 Day challengers to cheer you along and help in your promotion efforts.
Examples of Hublogs from the first 60 day Challenge -
These are just examples, there is no right or wrong way, and keeping live stats is not necessary at all for this challenge - our goal is a very broad set of traffic sources at the end of 60 days, and the ability to cheer each other on and keep us motivated.
Since this hub wont be finished yet, you can leave it unpublished, or even better write an intro paragraph that outlines your personal goals and gives something that the other 60 day challengers (April Challenge Team) can hold you to.
The other special addition will be the use of some group tags
- taggety taggety (these will be revealed shortly)
- taggety taggety too
- taggety taggety three
Include these two (three) tags in each of your new hubs during the first phase (30 in 30) of your challenge. For each of these hubs add a rss capsule below your comments or pretty much anywhere you like and in the link bar place:
http://hubpages.com/tag/taggetytaggety/hot/?rss
All of the challengers will do this, creating an inlink system similar to how the hubmob operates.
Benefits of 60 day challenge
The 60DC is:
This 60-day HubChallenge is more aggressive approach to writing hubs and following up with the proper promotion of them to optimize results. You will be strongly encouraged by your fellow hubbers to stick with it because it will benefit the entire group.
The 30 Day HubChallenge is like going to the gym a couple days a week where this 60 Day Challenge is like having a team with a personal trainer 7 days a week.
(Thank You - KCC Big Country)
As a smaller set of participants, we will actually be able to watch each others progress.
Once, 12 people show interest in participating, more detail will be given into HOW we will be able to assist each other in our promotion methods. An entire detailed Phase2 hub is in the works. For now, lets see if we have a dozen people capable of this commitment towards their own success
Hint: the promotion 30 days will take just as much effort as the first 30 days did!
You will walk out of this challenge with 30 new hubs that are properly optimized and backlinked at a minimum of 10 sources. With our powers combined all of our promotion efforts will be exponentially easier. We will assist each other towards our combined success.

Announce that you are in!
Please let me know about the next one. I am following you so I assume you will mention it. Good Luck!
OK, will you let me know about the next one?
OK, let me make sure I understand. I'm to create 30 hubpages in 30 days, record progress, get traffic from different places, making sure the hubs are in 6-10 categories and SEO researched? Anything I missed? Is it to late to commit? Will I get feedback to see if my hubs are any good, and how I can improve them? I'm in if it isn't too late.
Hoping I'm not to late? I just submitted my 60dc hub and am having difficulty posting it to the forum? I am a rookie so I expected something to happen. Any help would be appreciated. My hub is

Thank you for your advice in advance.

I want to join this challenge but from the dates on the post I might have missed it. I already downloaded the hub bar. I would set up my rss feeds but you haven't suggested they tag words yet. unless taggety taggety are the tag words 8o). also I like to write all my hubs at once and do the keyword research before I post them, then I would most likely post them in a 2 to 3 days time frame.
I am not to late am I.
This is good. I need to study this stuff over the weekend so that I can catch up. Will read through this thoroughly tomorrow and Sunday and get my hublog set up. :)
I would like to do the 30 day-I need all the help I can get!
This is great to know about . . . so it's 30 Hubs in 30 days and then the next 30 days spent promoting strategically -- or like crazy? at least one view from 10 different sources. This alone motivates me to do more backlinking.
This looks like fun and I am hoping I can jump in now. Are there any other late comers?
What happens if we don't finish all 30 hubs? I'm behind and only have tomorrow left.
I will check this out. I don't participate in the hub 30 day contests, because I'm on this site to write and make money and just one offering of subject matter, will bore me to tears. This is when writers block will hamper my productivity. Thanks for the challenge.
Just dropping by to add a link! Im in it to be my best!! :)
This sounds like a wonderful opportunity (particularly for a newbie such as myself.) Unfortunately, I was on vacation with my family last week and missed the sign-up. Please let me know if any openings occur. I will be cheering everyone on and trying to learn as well.
Great Idea... I am in. It seems like I already spent half a day on my hubpages.
Just stopped by to read and leave a comment link for your success my friend! Great to be a part of the team :)
Great idea!!Looking forward to seeing the outcome!!
I'll be peeping in for ideas for promoting my existing hubs. I did 28 hubs in 28 days for the contest, plus 4 hubmob roundup hubs. I feel a little burned out, and have vowed to curtail writing new hubs, and knuckle down and do some backlinking with Xomba, SheToldMe, etc on my current portfolio per your recommendations on some of your previous hubs. I made my first AdSense payout 22 Mar, and hope to make monthly payout by my 1 yr HP anniversary.
Best of luck to everyone on the 60 DC.
I just want to say that I will be watching with interest.
:-) If you do another 60dc in the summer, I will join immediately. Too hard to do this during the school year. Darn kids actually want COMMENTS on their papers. Haha.
Is it too late to jump on-board? I originally was a part of the 30-day challenge. Would love to be a part of the team.
Ok. I'm in if it is not too late! I'm such a newbie; I'm still trying to figure out the whole posting and including links and pictures thing.
BUT, there's nothing like jumping in with both feet. Perhaps, those participating could post what their ..uh...challenges are to the challenge and we can help each other finish the challenge?
Great, am ready for this challenging challenge
I'm so excited for all of you participating! I'll be your biggest cheerleader! Thanks for the tweaking of the wording Sunforged. You guys are going to skyrocket with this. I look forward to catching the next wave!
same here !
I would like to join if it's not too late? Thanks.
I will go and create my 60 dc Hub and will gladly offer up my blog as a source of an RSS feed.
I am definitely doing this 60 day challenge.
I'd quite like to join - but I think you need a thread in the forum where we can weigh in with questions and/or ideas and help for each other.
Just to get this straight - we make 30 hubs on no more than 10 topics - and then we have to ensure that each hub gets traffic from 10 separate sources, right? Do all the different Googles count as separate sources of traffic, eg Google UK, google.ca etc etc?
I will compete. My log hub is up. Is it acceptable?
Wish you and all who take part GOOD LUCK. I shall be cheering you all on from my armchair :-)
I thought that was perhaps the case, Sunforged, but I didn't want others to take it the way it "sounded". If you make a comparison to the 30 day hub challenge, perhaps a gym analogy will help explain it. So, what I would say is something like this....
Debating, I will let you know.
Sunforged, I'm SO in, if you still have room... Still reviewing the rules and rss stuff, but am totally into this!
I think this a great idea! I have only one "complaint". In the text above you state "Unlike the 30 day challenge, quitting is discouraged". You seem to be implying that quitting is encouraged in the 30 day challenge. Can you explain what you mean? I take a lot of pride in promoting the 30 day Hub Challenge and I haven't seen evidence of anyone encouraging people to quit.
I recently finished the 30 day challenge. Thanks for the info on 60 days.
I'm going to give this a shot. Already set up my log, and researching some topics.
Thanks for this!
Hi SF,
Is there still room? I needed something like this to recharge my batteries!
Thank you for the offer and challenge but I can't work like that. I like to take my time to make sure it is what I like to write and post.
This is great, sunforged! I've been trying to recapture the excitement and motivation I felt when I first signed up and took the 30 in 30 challenge.
This seems like just the ticket!
Tomorrow I'll answer the question and create my log hub...
Sunforged when I put the RSS feed it says no articles found. Is it because no hubs have yet been published or I am doing something wrong. I thought this hub would come up in the RSS feed. Sorry for acting so dumb and irritating you.
Thank you so much. I would include the RSS right away and add tags. And I next time I would start my hub using your request. Not only would it help in maintaining my weblog but also would motivate me seeing others progress. Thank you so much!!
I am in sunforged. I think it is a fantastic idea. By the way today morning I had published a hub, can that be counted in the 60 day challenge or do I need to write it again by clcking on answer this request created by you?? Would add the Rss feed right now. I am very excited and looking forward to it.
I did "30 in 30" my first month here, but my output has slowed since then, as I've spent my time optimizing those first hubs while adding a few more (which is also the point of this challenge). I'd like to participate, but have a question:
Can I count the hubs I've written in the last few weeks towards my 30 hubs for Part 1, or can I only count hubs I create going forward as part of my new 30 for this challenge?
And, PS, I LOVE this idea!
I'm between contracts so should have no excuse for not doing 30 Hubs - however two reservations. One, my Hubs are likely to be on topics (like dance) that don't fit with anyone else's. Two, my two previous attempts resulted in only a handful of Hubs each time, so I'm concerned about my stickability. I'm going to have a think about this one.
Can i do it alongside my 30 days challenge?
Okay I am in. Just let me know when to start.
