Tips for shopping on eBay
EBay is an online auction and shopping website where anybody can sell and buy items. This feature is certainly the strongest of eBay but unfortunately it does not exclude the risk of possible scams. Here's a quick guide to help you make purchases on eBay more pleasant and avoid taking risks.
First you create your eBay account by completing the form. I recommend to give the right information during the registration so to avoid problems with delivery of your purchases.
After you have registered you are ready to explore the gallery in search of the object of your desires.
Make sure that the seller is a reliable person by checking his/her feedback. A positive or negative feedback is given by others base on their experience with that particular seller. Choose sellers who have all (100%) positive feedback.
If you are buying something expensive like a laptop or a Smartphone, check the item description to see if it’s new or used. Make sure you always choose sellers who offer the opportunity to exchange the product purchased or that offer even a full refund of item price.
When you buy something on eBay, ask the seller to ship the item by courier or registered mail, so you can track the item and be sure that the shipment has been made and you will also know when to expect the package.
The best way to make a payment is with PayPal for two reasons: the first reason is simply because it’s easy and fast to use, the second reason is because it gives you full protections in case you don’t receive the item.
Once you receive the item, make sure you check the authenticity, the condition and functionality, only then you can leave the seller a feedback based on your experience.
If you buy the item in another country, make sure you find out about custom laws and regulations.
