Have a plan of action in place to make your writing business work at its best with social networking

Why Facebook

This particular social network has over 750 million members and all of these people are doing something of note on the site. Every writer's job is to get focused traffic to their information or content. Networking is a possible course of action via this site. However, use the site for more than networking. How about article promotion? Promotion and marketing are two terrific concepts for increasing writing income and are possible with this social networking site.

Start your plan of action

Put a strategy in place to promote a professional writing career. Not only is a strategy or plan necessary, it needs to work. A way to measure whether a plan is working is important. This allows resources to be used wisely. Measuring or analysis of data connected to a plan lets a writer understand when and if modifications are necessary. Measuring data connected to the original strategy says whether or not hard work is paying off.

These are several tips to allow a plan connected to Facebook traffic to function and work positively to further a writing career. There are also techniques to analyze info which is key in knowing if the plan works or needs modification. Following these simple concepts increase the chances of success.

Branding is a word used over and over again, but the importance of it cannot be underestimated. Decide how to be branded on this site. This is the beginning of any great strategy. Identifying and constructing one that will work successfully is vital.

Choose a brand and get started with marketing and promotion to get the word out and the traffic coming in. Set up blogs and other separate landing pages to link to a specific Facebook page. Hubpages and other similar writing sites around the web are also connection vehicles. All should reflect the same Brand information for cohesiveness.

Professional versus Business

Are you going to use a personal name? A specific company? Will the social networking traffic interaction to be a mixture of personal as well as professional? Separating the two is the best approach to take. Everyone knows business and pleasure typically don’t mix well. Therefore, decide which way to go from the beginning and make it work.

If you are working toward increasing the vision for a freelance writing career, professional is the only way to go. Build a Facebook page to market work professionally. Stay away from anything personal on the page at all times. Let friends and family know this is for work only. Build a separate private or personal one if necessary.

Research is a necessity

Knowledge is power. Research what is happening with the social network and article writing as it relates to business development. There are hundreds of thousands of great online works of writing to supply the material needed and desired to see success. Printed books are also available with beneficial info as well.

There is a nice place to start with Ezinearticles. Look into for loads of terrific material. Any person listed on with this website, needs to use it to network or connect. There are other members on the site who are basically working their articles for traffic in the same manner. Pick up some pointers and information about what works and what doesn't from forum discussions, Q and A info and simply networking among the sites membership. Different approaches and viewpoints are all there for the asking.

Ask questions and inquire into what others in the same boat are doing to successfully market writing work with Facebook. Tweak or change the ideas shared to direct them in a positive manner for an individual situation. Surprisingly it is nice to have someone else make the mistakes first to save time and energy. Everyone is a newbie to everything at one time or another. Education is the answer. Even errors are part of that educational process.

Contribute when you have something to offer

Contribute only when adding something valuable or insightful. Being taken seriously by others for a Brand or business means staying away from simply “putting anything” out there. Work at being beneficial to discussions.

Build a business of credibility by staying professional. Keep personal business away from the article content page. Any individual with a friend’s page developed needs to use it for connecting with family and friends.Separate business and pleasure to be taken seriously in the profession.

Your articles and material

Share all articles and content from all different sources. Individuals writing for more than one source is a great idea. Share them all on the Facebook page. Some people have a tendency to only want to share WOW articles. However, creating great content every time something is published means connecting all articles works out. This is promoting a business in a positive manner each time content is published on the internet.

Whether crafting material for a blog, website, writing site for passive income or other resource -share it at this location. This displays diversity and variety with a mixture of material with the same author byline.

Keep in mind when building content for these other locations they will be displayed on at the Facebook location. Subject matter or material you feel is controversial or undermine credibility should be avoided.

If uncomfortable sharing all of the material written, distribute content or hubs of only one particular niche. This is an alternative that certainly is possible to explore. Distribute items at a comfort level which feels okay, but certainly use this resource for what it's worth.

Make certain all information is evaluated which is part of the original strategy in a plan to increase traffic and earnings. Confirm choices and decisions made concerning the Facebook page are working in a positive direction toward success.

In conclusion

Allow the power of technology to help with success again and again with this social networking resource. Why not? It’s the age we live in.

Take all of this advice and material and combine it to develop a terrific plan of action to use Facebook as a resource for gaining focused traffic. Make certain you review analytic results to keep measurements of whether any actions are creating a positive or negative effect on writing income.

This is a wonderful source for promoting your business using this wonderful social networking tool

I have tried sharing some of my poems on facebook. Not for networking purposes but because I wanted to share with my friends who are not on hub pages. I never get any responses so I don't bother anymore. Either they don't see it because of all the friends they have or they just don't like what I am posting.

Like you said knowledge is power. Thank you for sharing the power.

thank you all for you comments. Deborah-Diane, you are right. not overdoing anything is a great way to promote all of your hubs, blogs or websites.

using Facebook for traffic sources is of course one option for your articles. however, there are other sources mentioned in a lot of the other hubs i shared with this particular hub for other resources to utilize in building an audience for your work.

for instance, you can use your Facebook hubs for one particular niche.

if you are looking to build your brand you may not want all of your hubs on Facebook.

this is a hub about building you brand that provides some great information.

Very interesting information about promoting our articles on Facebook. I do it occasionally, but I try not to overdo it!

Jeez! Thanks! I have a personal FB account, but was hesitant to use it to push my friends. I had thought about this, but I needed a little encouragement. I now have a new project.

Good advice, voted up and useful.

I don't use Facebook for my hubs, but I do use it for my website. It is amazing that with almost zero effort, people WILL find you on there, like you and add you as friends. It is definitely a good site to find new readers/customers!
