A Satisfying Relationship over Here

I have not been on HubPages for too long. I have just completed four happy months over here. One thing I would like to share with my co-hubbers and new hubbers is that these four months have been almost the best part of my literary life.

Though born in a not so well to do Indian family in Mumbai, I was lucky to get the best possible schooling in a school run by Anglo Indian and other well educated Nuns and Priests of Mumbai. At age 56 I still remember my Kindergarten Teacher whose name was Quena. However ever since I graduated out of English School and joined further education in a Mumbai College I was among co-students who had done their schooling from various vernacular mediums. My literary suffocation started in 1974 and this went on even after I completed college education and started working.

Since the last few years I spent thousands of hours over the internet and making friends online so that I could find some really good English speaking people who could converse with be properly and understand me. I did find a handful of them over some international friendship sites.

But it was only after I joined HubPages that I found followers and co- hubbers who were as intelligent and as informed as I always wished my friends should be.

Believe me every evening after I am back from office I spend hours at length reading hubs, answering questions and sometimes posting sensible questions.

This is really a good place to be and I suggest that if you have not yet joined Hubpages please do it right away. You don't have to spend anything. You will enjoy it and in the days to come you may even start earning on Hubpages.

What to Write

You can write on any topic of your choice. However I feel sexually explicit and indecent content is not allowed. All instructions and guidelines about writing are available in the tutorials which you can visit and acquaint yourself.

The content has to be in good grammatically write English language. The topics should be such that they hold the attention of the reader and he/she reads it to the end.

Pictures and Videos are not necessary but add mileage to a well written hub.

The writing should be original though ideas may be borrowed from anywhere. Copying someone else's content and publishing it as your own is not allowed. Videos and Pictures from the public domain may be presented on your hub as long as the original publishers do not object to it.

Earning from Hubpages

Once you publish a few hubs you may be able to start earning from Hubpages. The revenue comes from visitors to your hub who may click on ads posted there by Google. For this you have to have an Adsense Account. Once you join Hubpages you can venture to learn more about this feature form the tutorials readily available here.

Amazon and E-bay are two other options for earning from Hubpages. These are affiliates whose links and ads you are allowed depending on rules laid down by the administration of Hubpages.
