Why You Are Earning Zero On Hub Pages

Updated on October 6, 2012

You are not alone making zero

Hubpages is a very tough place to make money online because it is tough to compete against so many other hubs.

For example, did you know that only 0,0006% of all published hubs get more than 10K visits a month?

These are official stats are you can see on the link above.

It is very hard to make a hub that makes enough money to live off writing.

Have your say please

How many page views did you get so far?

Is it possible to increase traffic?

Writing hubs for nobody to read is awful, you work for nobody you work for nothing. However it is possible to turn that around and make a killing writing hubs. I know it is possible because according to the public stats there are people with more than one million page views and such hubs already made more than 10.000$.

How can we increase our Hubpages traffic?

  • 1. Writing another hub 90+ score hub. This is easy to do. First you need to write a hub with more than 2000 words. Second you need to add an image for every 500 words. Third, you need to add 3 links for every 500 words. Fourth you need to add a video for every 500 words. Fifth, you need to split all that text in several text capsules. Now just add a poll, some maps and some RSS feeds and your hub will get to the top. Oh, I almost forgot, you need to add bold italic and underline to increase the score because somehow Hubpages ranks such hubs higher.
  • 2. Now you must use the power of Facebook to get traffic. Make a Facebook account with people that love to connect and read what you post and post only your best hubs on Facebook. If you publish too often and small hubs with little and uninteresting content, people will stop clicking on your links. You should aim to have 5000 friends and you should write about controversial stuff to make people want to read and click on the ads.
  • 3. All other social networks will not bring you a visitor. The reason is very simple, if you are the one sharing you will get nothing. If other peopel share what you earn you will earn a ton. To make outstanding hubs that will be shared by other people read number one.

Thanks for this informative hub. I've only been a hubber for a few months, and I still have so much to learn. I've learned alot from the other hubs, including yours. Really appreciate your input. Blessings, Sparklea :)

Nice hub. From personal experience you will need to write hubs on what people are searching for. The bulk of my traffic comes from search engines. The combination of time, content, and amount of hubs you have will determine your success. Please note that not all of your hubs will succeed and not all of them will fail either. A good idea is to pick something that you are good at and write a series of hubs based around that. Link them together and you will attract more viewer because of the hubs' relations.
