Why Most Clickbank Affiliates Fail

Updated on May 1, 2011

Are You Failing At Clickbank?

Clickbank is among the commonest affiliate platforms out there in today’s online market, all the same a vast number of Clickbank affiliates never see a penny. As a matter of fact over 90% of all Clickbank affiliates have inactive accounts.

Here's the common scenario of a newcomer Clickbank affiliate:

They get there very first sale. Are they feeling pleased and motivated? Naturally, they can see the potential of the Clickbank affiliate program and the dollar signs begin to blink before of their eyes. The uncomfortable news is that just because you've had a sale it does not mean that you'll get paid. “What? Say that again” Doesn’t Clickbank pay you a commission on every sale? Yes, they do but there's a catch.

The 1st requirement to overcome is you must reach a payment threshold before they will send you a check. By default Clickbank sets this at $100. You can opt to go lower (down to $10) but you need to be aware that Clickbank will charge you $2.50 for each check they send out.

The second step however is the big one.

Prior to getting paid you must meet the customer distribution requisite. You are able to read the complete details on the customer distribution requirement in Clickbank’s Accounting Policy. Here's a quick breakdown for you:

To be in compliance with U.S. government law, ClickBank will keep back payment of any account balance until the following standards are met:

>>> 5 sales are made with different credit card numbers.

>>> Sales have to be made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal). Note: PayPal purchases don't count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers...What this signifies is you're going to have to have five sales before you get paid!

Here's how to can solve this problem and start seeing your commission checks in the mail.

If you were able to make some fast sales and meet the 5 sales mandatory to meet their Customer Distribution requisite, you would be eligible to get your 1st check and before long get the 3 checks allowing you to opt to direct debit and have your commissions deposited directly into your bank account.

What if you had get some fast and simple sales with an eBook that only costs $3? Forget about the low commission, you'll be getting the sales necessary to meet the 5 sales Customer Distribution requisite. $3 is the bottom price an eBook can be sold for at Clickbank, so the secret now is to find an eBook selling for $3. Take a little trip over to clickbank and checkout the marketplace...Who wouldn’t buy an eBook for $3?
