Adsense payments, how does that happen?
I'm also in the UK and it's not a problem at all. I get paid my adsense earnings by direct deposit into my bank - easy peasy
The threshold is £60. All you need to do is add your adsense ID in your affiliate settings and then ads containing your ID will be displayed automatically 60% of the time: https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/
Amazon is a bit of a pain - I get paid by cheque in US dollars and the threshold for that is $100. Most banks will allow you to pay in a foreign cheque, but they will charge you. I'm with Santander and they charge a £10 flat fee for each foreign cheque I pay in.
Getting paid by gift certificate is not really worth it unless you use digital products e.g. kindle book downloads, because shipping products from the US costs a lot.
