Hello Co-Writers,  I am fairly new to this site. I am really enjoying the writing and reading.

I have been writing for about 5 weeks now.  I have never spent so much time to earn 8 cents.  I am active with Google AdSense,    Google AdSense Reports
HubPages Ad Program.  Would you please help me identify what is missing? Thanks!

I can't help you with this.  I know my earnings are small and creep up very slowly.  I don't write 'product' type of hubs, so maybe that is one reason.  I can only offer that it takes time and patience.  There are some hubbers that do make lots of money now...I think Kathy V (can't recall her last name--her score is 100 usually) and Mark Knowles and maybe Chuck (100 score) also.  Check them out and maybe they can reveal a secret or two.  I write for the creative outlet.  Good luck.

Denise, You are so sweet!! Yes, I can relate.  Writing is a creative outlet for me too.  Putting words on paper is a positive therapy for me.  I figured knowing the options of all the benefits is good too.  8 cents is better than no sense at all!!!! (did you like that?) Thanks for answering. I hope you are having a canoli on this beautiful night. smile

Yes, it is hard to get the ball rolling. I think you have to enjoy the process and the writing first. While you are doing that you are learning.
I started off not being at all interested in the earnings, not so coincidentally the earnings came slowly. It was OK.
As time went by I earned a little more, mostly by accident. That was good, too. Then I started learning a little about what makes earnings grow, and they did, a bit.
This is about as far away from a "get-rich-quick scheme" as you can get.  But it is really nice to see some extra dollars appearing "out of thin air" after awhile.
You are more likely to succeed if you are a tortoise rather than a hare. But you will do much better if you are a tortoise who understands SEO, and all that stuff.
Good luck, and welcome to HP.
