Are spelling and grammar important on Hubs? Or is it for just getting the writer's ideas out there?

It seems to me that there are an inordinate amount of spelling and grammatical errors on HP, compared to Suite and Examiner and other sites where I've written. Could this be because HP is more of a blog environment rather than a source of authoritative content? Surely there are places on the web for those who don't really care much about "proper" writing, and I can accept that. Places where people can just let it all hang out and get their ideas heard. I'm wondering if HP might be one of those places. What do you think? Is HP for blogging or journalism?
