Hubpages requires you to have a Google Adsense account to qualify for their own Ad Program. Just apply to Adsense, and you'll be fine.

Another thing about Adsense is that they tend to give accounts to individuals with individuals blogs and websites. In case you don't have a website to call your own, just go ahead and register a blogspot blog and write something up, and register after that.

    All the best! smile

The Ads displayed on your hubs are from Google so it is a requirement that you have an Adsense account to qualify. HP makes it easy to do so by going to your affiliate settings and selecting the appropriate option.

Adsense also pays you separately when someone clicks on your ads, so they need to be able to pay you so you will need the account for that. As you can see there are two ways to earn from Adsesne here on HubPages.

I would advise to sign up for the Adsense account as soon as possible so you can start earning.

No you cannot. For joining the hubpages ad program, Google adsense account is mandatory.

As others told here, Google Adsense account is a must to join in the HubPages Ad program.

You need to apply for an Adsense account and get the same - to get an approval - you should need a site or blog of your won - if you have anything with good original content you can provide the same to Google - if you don't  have one better give your HubPages URL (http://julester.hubpages.com/ ) as your content site and get it approved.

I guess you have enough original content to get Adsense approval.

Thanks for your help everybody - that's pretty clear then!

I did have an adsense account, but after about a week of having the account I got an email form Goggle saying: "After reviewing your application, our specialists have found that it does not meet our program criteria".

Guess I should get a blog on the go and try again.

    Thanks again
