I have not tried it but it it is true that we have to do "seo" for our Hubs to get noticed then I think something is wrong with the Panda Update don't you? Everyone will worry more about seo than about writing great blogs (in fact this is what is going on) and Is not the "good theme" to "write well" and you will be noticed? Oh? What is going on in the world of the search engines and their ranking criteria?
We are worried about tags, bounce rate, repeating keywords, linking out to rich source and informative low PR websites etc etc etc
I honestly feel that things have gotten far worse after Panda and the whole thing is a mess. I don't think we should give up because if we do enough work then maybe we will hit the jackpot with one of our pages. Maybe we have to write far more pages so that we have more playing chips for this jackpot.
I have a site somewhere and I did an experiment to reduce the amount of text to 1/3 of what it normally should be and I found that it is ranking high for many keywords. There is the question now of "how many words should be contained in a page?" .. I have a hunch .. People might want to investigate this ...
Do you notice that a ton of Youtube videos get incredibly high ranked in the SERPS and if you go to those video pages (which are webpages) then you might notice there is hardly any text (if at all) Youtube is a Page Rank 9 Website and that is probably why. The problem is that not every blogger wants to be a Vlogger.
