Why is it you never see your errors until you see them in print? I make them as often as anybody. But as anyone who has ever been paid to write will tell you, you die with them. Nothing says unprofessional like an error your reader could correct.
Many hubbers know English as a second language, and there are some "tells" that make it obvious. I don't point them out because, hey, I don't speak a second language - much less write in one. I know, though, that I am not helping them. I'd like to hear some feedback from our ESL hubbers: Do you want corrections?
For English-speakers, read you hub after it's published. If errors jump out at you (and they will) - go into edit and fix them. Sometimes I have to go back more than once! Twice? Yeah -
