If I decide to expand on a forum post and create a hub, but not copy it, would that be ok?
For instance, newly written hubs on the subjects of objectivity and subjectivity. If they were unique, expanded content, and not just copy/paste jobs from the forum, would that be ok?
I think that's the benefit of reading other postings and articles. Doing so inspires us and gives birth to new thoughts and concepts. There wouldn't be a thing wrong with using a new thought that comes about from reading and turning it into something your own.
Expanding on a a post that you made in the forum to create a hub is certainly ok. I've done that before and I'll no doubt do it again. Although it's not required to delete my forum post that gave me the idea, I still do it anyway. After all, I want searchers going to my hub, not the forum. :-)

While I'm being a policeman, I can't help noticing that there's a lot of self-promotion that goes on in the forums. Especially the "other topics" forums, where quite often you'll find posts with not much more than the link to the person's Hub.Surely the forums are places to discuss...

I think it will be a good idea to have the feature to copy (duplicate) any existing capsule. It will especially be useful while working with 'Tables'. If you need to create multiple table with similar layout, one can simply create one table and duplicate it. It will also help while creating any new...

For example: a Hub about Obama being the AntiChrist? (Cause his name rhymes with Osama!) Do we have to flag these Hubs? (And see the sick joke starting elsewhere all over again.) Are these Hubs also partly responsible for other dangerous and sick jokes like the "Osama Obama Shotgun Pool"...

I have been seeing a lot of forum spam lately. I think it could be *greatly* reduced by only allowing new sign-ups to post under the help section until they've published one hub. After they've published their first hub, then they could post anywhere. I think this would deter a lot of the people who...
