Over 500 page views and zero AdSense earnings. Am I doing something wrong?

Shouldn't I have at least a few pennies in there? I'm pretty sure the ads are relevant to my hub topics. I'm not complaining, I'm just concerned that maybe I don't have my settings correct or maybe my AdSense pub id is incorrect. I checked it and it seems to be right. Any advice?

    Hello!

I can understand your feelings. But don't lose hope. Earning money from adsense is a bit difficult in Hubpages when you are using Hp ad program. Remember your ads are displayed for 60% of the time, so if there is no click during that time you won't earn anything.

In my case, I have not reach a single adsense click for over 3000 page views. But I do earn decently from Hubpages ad program for page views. On average I am earning 3 dollars for per 1000 page views , for 3000 I am earning 9 dollars which is very Good.

You are a beginner and going to face harder time for couple of months. I recommend you to calm down and continue publishing quality Hubs. Make an Objective to post 30 Hubs within 1 or 2 months. Google takes time to rank Hp articles. So, you are going to see the good result when you become 6+ months old user.

    I hope this will help.

    Cheers.

I have over 1500 views and have earned one penny.  Honestly, I rarely click on a adsense ad.

hi, I'm pretty new to all this so I don't know if you are going wrong any where. I've had 200 hundred views and earned 30 cents, still don't know where the money comes from. have you signed up to everything there was on offer? has it all been approved?

Keep on writing quality content and the earnings will come, provided you have registered with all the affiliate you need to.

It definitely takes a long time and many views (unless you get a bit lucky early on) and i'd imagine your experience is quite typical.Given your hubs are so young means that a majority of your page views are probably from other hubbers which are statistically far less likely to click on ads than the traffic you will generate organically through the search engines. It is also the case that your number of views includes your own views of your own hubs from anytime you visit them yourself to edit or check them. Welcome to hubpages btw and hopefully you'll get your first click soon enough. By the time it comes you'll probably laugh at the fact that a few cents or pennies will actually make you smile with a bit of momentary satisfaction, happiness and sense of achievement.GL :-)

Some of your responses seem to suggest that I am impatient or upset. I can assure you that I only asked the question because I thought I might have my settings incorrect. I know it will take time to get large amounts of traffic. I plan to write more and more hubs in the coming weeks. I want to average at least 1 hub per day. I could probably crank out 3 or 4 per day, but they would not be good quality writings. It takes time to thoroughly research the topics I write about and I want to present true and real information. Anyway, I have double checked my settings and everything seems to be in order. Thanks for the replies and have a wonderful day.
