What does missing summery mean on my view of my hubs I have published?
When in "edit" mode, you will see the link at the right of the page. click "summary" and add one.
If you check on your edit mode, look to the right hand side, you'll see summary and other things. Click on it, a box will be displayed, then you can start writing the summary of your hub, after that click publish.
when your hubs are indexed in search engines, the text that is shown under your hubs is hub summary. Hub summary helps to put more keyword that will help to get more traffic. You can learn more about hub summary here http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/How- … ub-Summary hope that would be helpful to your.
It can be important to provide a summary for your hub for a couple reasons. First, when you publish a new hub it will appear on the front page of all those hubbers that follow you. If you've provided that summary, it will appear there. If not, it will use the first few lines from the hub itself which may not be as desirable. At least, I think that is the case.
Secondly, a good summary with appropriate keywords will help your hub be found in Google searches as it is used to populate the content metatag.
Summary is the short content that will be displayed when your hub is listed in search results. Make it attractive to get more visitors
This is something new to hubpages. I found out about it much later too. But it's a good tool. It helps readers and hubbers to know what the hub is all about. Most readers simply skip hubs, but if they read through your summary it could strike interest as they may be looking for your topic. This could also help with traffic especially on searches as pointed out by many answers out here.
it means when you published a hub the summary will be the first one to be read. it is like it's description.
I'll give you a similar answer as some have given. When in edit on the right hand column you will see summary enter your summary there. It often helps a reader decide if they want to read your post.
So try making it interesting

I have checked a few of my articles over the course of a week, not all of them but most of the popular ones, and I noticed that when I put them in Google search they only show up through another link such as Pinterest or Twitter. They seem to have totally disappeared apart from that. Any help you...
