In my opinion, I guess it depends on how the writer looks at it. Some people are all about getting the most followers, which in theory would result in the most people reading your hubs. But that isn't always true. Some people follow anyone back who follows them and never reads a single hub written by the writer.
Then there are the people who only care about quality. These are the people that I would think do not mind if they have a low amount of followers. I am by no means saying the first group doesn't have quality writings. I guess what I am trying to say is that in my eyes the people in this group would be happy even if their hub only reached out to one person.
Haha does this make any sense?
As for myself... I have around 26 followers and my hub score is an 85. I am fine with both numbers. I do get excited when I get a new follower but I think I feel more excited when I log in and my hub score went up by 5 points. So as I think about it, I do not think it would be worth it.
