Calling all hubbers from the UK - What works best for you, 'local' topics or 'global'? :-)

What works for me is something the Americans are interested in.  Bigger market. Google.com.  Having said that... nothing actually works so far.

I would say general topics suitable for global audiences with no specific location.

Really depends what sort of hubs you do I guess smile

I prefer global as then we can cut through all the disinformation and lies the corporate run media throws at us daily on the internet as well as the TV here in America.

The American public has got to be the stupidest people on the planet hands down, they will believe anything. For instance most of America doesn't know anything about all the flooding in Dublin, Ireland.

They fail to connect the dots on a wide range of issues worldwide and it is truly appalling. I would love to be able to read World News from your standpoint in the UK.

I think if you would publish a Hub a day on News from your part of the World it would be very successful . . . just a thought!

i am not from the UK but I would say that you should write about what you like and not base it on local or global...

Thanks guys! I tend to write about Dogs and Swedish culture which works 'globally' but I was just curious about what works best for you.

Tempted to say that nothing works looking at my stats page!  However, self-pity aside, I try to write about stuff that I imagine would interest anyone anywhere.  I am definitely not aiming at a UK market, although it might be a local place of interest - which I hope will interest everyone.  I do stick to writing in English English, not US English though.

Writing a well researched hub and adding a variety of capsules.  I have most results writing about stuff I'm passionate about.  Longevity also works, looking at the long-term picture rather than fast money.  I don't write specifically for the US market, and I'm doing OK.  Watch out for medical hubs.  my best piece that has a consistently high hub score of about 97-100 has had the ads disabled because it mentions the 'v' word.
