If a hubber refers to women as "whores" in one of his hubs, is that grounds for flagging?
He doesn't call women in general whores, just women who do pornography. Still, this is quite offensive and doesn't seem to be up to the quality standards that Hub Pages promotes.
I guess it all depends on context but swearing is not usually grounds for flagging. If you find it is low quality you can flag it for that.
From what I have read, if you find the content to be objectionable, it can be flagged. Then it will be reviewed to see if it violates HubPages content. That would also be objectionable to me, so go ahead and flag it. Let them decide if it is violating policy.
I would find it objectionable as well! What bugs me even more is - why just target the women? Men are also involved in this trade and I'm not referring to the ones that are taking the pictures and raking in the money!
If the content seem to be degrading women or anyone else for that matter, it might be grounds for flagging. However, without seeing the actual hub, it's hard to tell if the hub deserves to be flagged as I am not sure what context the writer has used the term.
I think if anyone refers to a woman as a "whore" in any setting (unless that's her name or role she's playing in a movie, film, e.t.c), that should be grounds for flogging.

What and who determines why a hub isn't published? I thought all hubs that were obscene, racist, or objectionable in some way would be published here.

Recently, there was a thread of someone complaining about Hub of the Days lacking amazing writing skills. Their complaint stated the Hubs being selected were because they were niche driven and 'how too's' instead of stellar writing from the soul. The day he posted that, it was my hub that was...

Lyricsingray started the excellent thread "Recommend another hubbers hub"....I thought that it would be a great idea to dive much deeper into the depths of this vast lake of words and pluck out some treasure. So rather than recommend a hub by some of the big fish who have already been...
