What makes a hub score fall?
I am new to Hubpages as of this week and was happy to see my hubscore increase regularly over the last few days, but today it started falling a few points. I am trying to follow advice and make comments and hub hop, etc. Why do the scores fall WITH activity?
You need to publish some more hubs to get a higher score at a sustainable level. At least 6 hubs in total should help.
Hi there and a very warm welcome to Hub Pages.
I wouldn't worry about the hub score going up and down. I've published 40+ hubs and have been here for over a year and my hub score still goes up and down like a yoyo! I also make comments, hub hop and so on, but it can still go down a few points and then it goes back up again.
I think as well, with me at least, the hub scores seem to be behind a day or more. For example, I've maybe been on Hub Pages doing a lot of activity on a Monday and Tuesday, not so much on Wednesday or Thursday. My hub score doesn't go up on the Monday or Tuesday, but shoots up on the Thursday and back down on the Friday??? Why it works like this I have no idea. But just keep on doing what you are doing - questions, following, hub-hopping, commenting etc. and your score will steadily go up even if it slides back one or two points.
Hello TripleAMom!
HubScores and HubberScore are calculated by an algorithm and will go up and down based on a variety of factors. To learn more about how the scores are calculated, follow this article from the HubPages Learning Center: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/hubs … bber-score
Hope this helps!

I've been on here for a few years, and I guess I never really understood the point of these scores. They don't seem to provide any real value to the user and I can't convince myself that they add value because they fluctuate so much. What's the point? Am I supposed to use these scores to tell me...

I took a hiatus for awhile from Hub Pages! However, in the past week or so, I have added new hubs participated in forums, asked a question or two, participated with the Hub Hopper, have read some Hubs, yet my Hubber Score is lower than it was when I was doing nothing. I don't get it!

My Hub "People Almost Met: Lily at the Pool" recently had a hub score of 100 and stayed at the level for about two weeks. Now it is in the 60's. It has lots of comments and about average views (for my hubs). Anyone know what I can do about this?

I am presently putting together an article that is not published, obviously. But, I already have a Hub Score showing for it. Any ideas how this can be? Doesn't seem fair does it?I mean how can you score an incomplete article that has not been published yet and a low score to boot? Lower than any...

For a good number of weeks my hubber score has hovered around the 100 mark. Two days ago it started falling, and as I write this, it is down to 89! If this keeps up, it will be 0 in a week! No rhyme or reason to it, but it leaves me wondering why this is happening. I know...
