   Almost immediately, because I was having collected quite a lot of articles on draft and wished to publish them exactly on hubpages.

   About one hour. And I was soooooooooo dissapointed in the lack of response!  The hub title was too long I guess - How to Empty Your Bladder in One Trip to the Bathroom.  Here it is    ...http://awordlover.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Empty-Your-Bladder-in-One-Trip-to-the-Bathroom   .  It was published in March 2009 and didn't get a comment until November 2010. I even forgot all about it so that the comments sat for about a month b4 I replied to them. I was devastated and didn't write another hub for over 6 months.  To date, that page has 6857 views, but only 4 comments.  Lots of looky-lou's but not gabbies LOL

   Took me about an hour.. It was poem..  That was how long it took me. I was carried away by very beautiful and interesting poem.. Lucky me, it took me couple of hour to get my first comment..

   I think it took me the next day.
   Then, my second hub, due to a very hectic day job work schedule, took me six months after being published.
   I finally decided to get active from then on.

   Almost two years later. I was busy working about 35 hours a week at an editing/writing job. When I got laid off back in August, I decided that never again will I put that kind of time into building something for someone else. A couple months later I became active on here. I did spend time reading other hubs in those two years and learning about the site, though, so it wasn't wasted time.

    I published straight away.  I write poetry so I already had the content.  All I needed to do was publish it.  Got to say it was quite satisfying

    I joined under a different name & published two hubs the first day or so. Then I realized I needed to revise my username. Had to start yet another account, take down the old one, republish & start writing here. This has all been within the past two weeks or so. I've published 18 hubs & am going for 30 in 30.

    Four hours. I could have had it up in an hour with a user friendly layout program that doesn't require too many steps and sends you into different modes for editing and placement.
    
    "Done Editing". Oops, a typo about 3/4s of the way down. Scroll up and click "Edit" . . . scroll down and find the capsule with the typo . . . click "edit" on capsule. Boing! There is a new box containing the text in a slightly different font and size. The typo is not in the smaller window . . . expand window and scroll down to find  . . . find what? I forgot what I was looking for!
    
    Did you know there are publishing programs that enable you to edit in one mode? You can actually do everything you possibly need to do without writing a bit of code. That's okay, I know the drill. When you don't have your own equipment at the bowling alley, you have to use their shoes.

    When I joined the site in the summer of 2006, HubPages was still in beta test mode.  There were no forums, no answer section, there was no way to contact any of the other users and about half the capsules that exist now didn't exist then.
    
    I published my first Hub that first day.  I mean, it's not like there was anything else you could do.  It was either "do... or do not."
    
    I had been publishing on Squidoo, which had just gone public a few months earlier that same year, and heard this was similar but totally different.  And I had a dream of not having to have a day job.

    As soon as I signed up, I started writing my first hub, and published it.  It was a great feeling.  Then I read other hubs to find out how I was supposed to do it.
    
    It still is a great feeling to publish a hub.

    I wrote my first hub between 4 and 6 weeks after joining hubpages. I had bookmarked it and forgot all about until later and decided to post something. Been posting ever since.

    I started to publish my first immediately, but soon realized I needed to whip out my trusty ol' word processor to type up an outline first. My first article is turning into a book, and I am still working on it. In order to get something up fast, I picked a topic that I thought was relevant for the current time (Who can't think of taxes right now) and wrote an article on it.
    Long story short, it took me three days to post my first article on hubpages, and I am still working on my first article idea!
