   Stolen content , Plagiarism ,Identity  theft !  Here , there , everywhere!
   
   Its all the same isn't it ? Was recently notified that a poem that  I posted on Hubs was stolen and claimed by someone else on another sight and even on the same day , yesterday ,  Now I have given poetry away and even written it for others , But  sharing isn't the same as theft!   Thats what I love about hub pages  , the sharing !  Although it is discouraging to have someone "borrow " word for word  a simple , single piece of my art .  Photo and all!   My question , is it worth it to attack the sight and writer ?

   Yes absolutely go after the site and the person who stole it.  This is theft and if you let it slide you do yourself and no other legitimate writer any favors.   Never take the theft of your writing lying down.

   i to was notified that the hub i wrote about MY cat was stolen by another and claimed to have been written by them. i would think red flags would go up when a person has only been on a site for 1 day and already has 176 articles submitted, but obviously the site...bigezine...does not moderate the content added nor care the type of writers they have, or should i say non writers. i have sent a message to bigezine insisting they remove it and now i commented on the post itself hinting that both the so called writer and the site can be sued. i am waiting to see if anything happens.

   Absolutely go after them.  I know a lot of people were complaining this happened at bigezine.com (I think that is the name, can't recall now) - and I went there and sent the site admin an email telling them they were stealing work and it needed to stop.  If we all do that to these sites, it might make a difference.
   
   I would like to see Hubpages go to bat for us if they want us to continue to post our content here.

   BigEzine is a  serious issue of copyright infringement.  I got comment one on my Hub that it has been copied and the link was provided from our Hub author in the comment. When I visited the link , I was shocked that my Hub copied same as it (including copyright message). This really a big problem for all the Hubbers, we all should get united to stop this site from stealing our Hubs. I have commented on the page on which my Hub has been copied to remove my Hub that has been copied and I also filed a DMCA complaint as suggested by other Hub authors. So, should be continue to write or should we stop writing till this site stops stealing our content ?

   Plagiarism, stolen content or information without author/publisher’s permission on web is a crime. You can file complain and take legal action against the thief. However, your first step should be to find the exact contact information of the one who has stolen your content and contact him about the spam or ask him to remove your work which s/he has shared as his own. When this is done, file up a DMCA/Google complain for the same. You need to get proper credit of your work and protect your data/work that is available on web. This online plagiarism issue is so big that you can find many dedicated services/software like ScrapeSentry ( http://www.scrapesentry.com/ ), ScrapeDefender ( http://scrapedefender.com/ ) etc which work in order to protect webmasters from spam. It is important for you to stay protected and fight back.
