I published a hub a few days ago. The hubscore started at 66 and has been doing great. Two nights ago the hub went to 91. A hubber left a comment on the hub - "How did you get that many followers?". The hubber did not say anything about the hub or details in the hub. Within a few hours my hubscore fell to 89 and is now at 86. I am sure she voted down my hub. The tone of the comment is very curt to me. What gives? She has been here longer than I have with less than a third of the followers I have.
sort by best latest
I also believe in cause and effect as you have noticed in one of my latest hubs. I am just letting it go. It just always surprises me....lol
Thanks Kenny. :)
Thanks RebekaElle, I have seen other hubbers face this sort of thing. I was just marking the coincidence between the score and her comment. It was weird that while the traffic was increasing the score dropped like a hot potato...lol
I experienced this a few weeks ago although nothing was said directly the comment was curt and I swear I heard the tone through my laptop! I wouldn't worry too much we all have something unique to offer on hubpages.best wishes.
I know the score fluctuates a but after it has run its course and the traffic starts to fall, this was a fairly new hub which was climbing fast with very good traffic. From my experience it wouldn't have fallen like that just yet. Thanks for the enco
Sorry Cherlone put answer to original question in wrong place!
Hey Seeker, I really feel silly now that I think about it. I was just curious about the person and went to check them out and realize that they probably are wondering how come I have progressed this much and they haven't. Thanks for the encouragement
You are right Turtlewoman, I realize I was probably making too much of it. I think what triggered it was the hub she published today which looked like one I published last week.
Thank you. It was the curt comment that the hubber left why I assume that. I really am hoping I am wrong and that someone would talk some sense into me...lol
I agree. This is not a competition! We can all work together and succeed.
That comment sounds curt to you, but it doesn't to me - just short, and may just be the way the person communicates. I think they were just seeking your advice.
Thanks for a great and wonderful feedback Dana and don't worry about your scores either. If you need help with ideas to write, you know who to ask.
You might be right and not everyone is like me. I would never be as abrupt on someone's hub even if I wanted to just ask a question. I would acknowledge the person's article first then ask the question. But as I said, you could be right.
Thanks Donnatru. At first it didn't bother me but then I remembered that the comment had nothing else in reference to the hub.
I knew someone would make me see sense....as all the lovely people have already done. It's like, the minute I posted the dumb question I thought...crap, what have I gotten myself into...lol
Thanks for a wonderful response.
Thanks Wetnosedogs. I really hope that wasn't the case with the comment though.
Hey Cardisa, Sophia wouldn't be jealous of Jayne's cleavage now would she? Maybe she's just scoping out the competition.
Thanks for the encouragement Ghostwolfe.
