Is anyone else's Antivirus protection popping up everytime you browse a new HP page today (May 21)?
Each time a new HubPage window opens, whether because I'm reading, responding to comments, asking a question, or checking stats, my antivrius window pops up informing me it has blocked something harmful. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I haven't been having any issues. Do you know if it has been doing it with other sites as well, or just hubpages?
It's gone now - before I could check. It was from "b.scorecard"...
I have had no issues and Hubpages doesn't show up in google with any warnings. You might have a trojan on your computer that is causeing this to happen, if not a trojan it could be some type of maleware that is trying to redirect you and your anti virus keeps stopping it.
I'm not--so far, anyway.
Now I'm adding words so the red print doesn't pop up saying, "Your answer is too short. Please make it longer."
Everything is working fine here. I'd run a scan on your computer just to make sure it's not on your end.
No, but I have had folks on Facebook and email complain about some of my links. Check your settings. You may have them too tight and it is balking at the tracking numbers or something like that. Better yet, get a Mac.
No issues thus far. What software are you using? I use Ad-Aware and I have no problems.
My hubby is an IT guy and has a couple on my computer. This one was eset.
That is curious. You should check the settings on your browser. Firefox is a great browser and gives no trouble but has excellent security features, IE7 is not so great. But it does have a message that spits out warnings about cookies frequently. Adjusting its settings so it won't display so many messages could be an answer.
Also try installing malware protection software, in case you have something on your PC affecting your browsing. Some AntiVirus software will update you constantly of atacks on your PC. You can alter the settings there too so it won't remind you so many times. It is no harm to be wary of websites as they can have all kinds of nasties, as Twitter and Facebook now are breeding grounds for malware.
No problems with my AVG or with my Malwarebytes as of this moment.
Not on Hubpages but it's happening on all my Facebook games which is REALLY annoying.
No - I'm not having this happen. You might want to try going into your security settings and adding HubPages.com to your safe sites.
Apparently there's a Facebook thing going around infecting people running un-patched browsers. I've seen emails from infected people today. http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/ … onomyId=85

As a person who has devloped several sites and works with the web, I am very disappointed in the "Start a new hub format page". Everytime I try to start something on that page it keeps saying something stupid and it never allows a simple easy process to let you work through. YOu need a...

It is beginning to irritate me that even when commenting directly to one of my articles, my feed does not update if it is a specific hubber. Being specific myself, no matter my settings I can no longer see Brenda Arledge and John Hansen within my feed. I've unfollowed and refollowed, tweaked my...
