I'm not sure what you mean by "age delay".
If you mean the sandbox, it's always debated whether it exists, and many sites never experience it. You will only be put in the sandbox if Google feels your sub-domain has a problem in some way - maybe it doesn't have enough content, or you've keyword stuffed, etc.
If you are put in the sandbox, it can take anywhere from 6 months to a year to get out.
There is an'age delay', in the sense that Google values age - but it's a gradual process. So if you've written informative, evergreen Hubs [i]on subjects people are searching for[/i], then their value should slowly rise. It can take a Hub three years to reach its full potential.
Bear in mind that if your Hubs are not about subjects people are searching for,then nothing will improve your Google traffic. I think that may be your problem.
