Is is possible to bounce back from Panda and/or Penguin?

With all of these Google updates affecting so many of us, I'm wondering if it's possible to recover from these?

One does not need to "bounce back" as long as one follows the basic rules.  If the website/blog/hub has been created with the user in mind i.e. relevant text with a good standard of English, followed the rules of titles and descriptions and above all written the content for humans and not for search engines, then one should find that the Panda and Penguin update had actually helped drive more traffic to their internet medium.  Of course this principle does not apply to all mediums as, for example, Hubpages; they were affected by the Panda update because all content was contained under one domain.

To counteract this, the clever sparks at HubPages split all hubbers into seperate sub domains.  What they did not realise is that this idea of splitting up each hubber worked very well for the Penguin update as well as this update stopped the same domain appearing more than once each time a search term was entered (Google going old skool).

Anyway, back to the issue....treat Google with respect and they will recipicate.

I cannot stress this next part enough;  DON'T TRY AND OUTSMART GOOGLE, PLAY BY THE RULES!!!!!!!!

Very true, but there are many Hubbers who have great content yet have suffered from the likes of Panda despite playing by the rules.

How does not having the same domeain appearing more than once each time a search is done, affect Penguin?  In what way would penguin be triggered if the same domain appeared many times?  I thought Penguin was about keyword stuffing, bad backlinks etc

Indeed, I am one of those hubbers. My traffic has dropped dramatically, and I have followed all the advice in the learning center etc and it's still dropping.

It is completely possible to bounce back, if you are one of the victims of these giant predators.

Just start playing by the rules (you can check many articles on this topic). Moreover, I would recommend you to read the Webmaster Guidelines Update 2012 for more guidance.

Yes it is always possible to recover.

A key is stick to the basic rules of writing good content, on items which people want to know about. Then look to the long term with evergreen content and occassional seasonal content.

I have weathered three changes in Googles algorithm in recent years. Sometimes seeing a initial drop in traffic, but never for a prolonged period. It happens that there are ups and downs in hubpage views. Don;t panic and rush for the exit with each change of algorithm.  Stay focused on your own plan and don't worry too much about the numbers, unless they are 0.

Fix what you can fix and everything else just watch, don't worry about what you have no control over.

Yes, it's possible! You'll have trouble if you relied on black hat techniques, but if that applies, eventually you can bury bad unremovable links with new content.

The article below gives some good strategies for Penguin overall. A key difference from Panda is the "money keywords" being fewer than 65% of links.
