   Is anyone else experiencing reduced page views?
   
   I have noticed reduced page views of my hubs in the last six days or so.  The recent panda reviews seem to worry me that Google is working on something new again. Am I the only one or is it a general problem? Was forced to nose around, and the image below from Alexa shows a decreasing number of visits from search engines to HP. Any views or is there an update elsewhere in HPs?

   Yes.
   But, I have heard from several people that June and July are always the lowest months.

      Yes, I agree with Skarlet.  It is just that time of year weddings and holidays, people are going off and vacations and doing other things.  Great question though!

      Didn't know about June and July thing. But must say mid June was also high for me, and then views plummeted later on.

      I have noticed a marked dropoff in activity on social networking sites like Facebook this week.  Everyone is outside doing things.  Traffic will pick up again in the fall and winter.  Now is the time to do the SEO to get ready for the searches.

   The latest Google major update was Penguin happened on April 2012.

   Sometime traffic take a while to be affected.  But I think Penguin might have lowered pageviews for some.

      Wasn't the Google Penguin update about reducing "black hat" SEO content?  I don't think people on HubPages are using black hat SEO techniques.  That requires more control over the backend of a webpage/site to implement.  Vacation time!  Less computer

      Since the April Penguin update my traffic dropped by a good 20% with no recovery yet, and I do not have 'black hat' SEO content, as far as I know.

   My views seem to be about equal or on the rise. I was at about 1800 views a day, but lately have been above 2000 views a day. I have been writing more hubs this month, and that may have helped, but overall I have not seen a decline in views. It may be a the slow months of June, and July BUT with the holiday week, and everything I would say that play it out and then see what happens after the upcoming weekend.

      Good for you John. The hub number possibly works. But am not good at spinning hub after hub. Want try that and possibly spend more time in Hubpages.

   Yes. I'm wondering whether it's anything to do with the storms causing power outages in the US cutting a lot of people off from the internet. Also, today is the 4th July, so people may be out celebrating rather than online. The sites where I find freelance writing work have also been quiet this week and those were suggested as two possible reasons.

   Nope I experience a huge increase within the last month or so, but that's mainly because I picked up my hubtivity and in a huge way. I think it is purely arbitrary when it comes to web statistics though, but who knows right.
   
   Traffic increase tips:
   
   All I can recommend for you to see much better stats is, you must become much more active in the hubpages community overall, and produce more hubs as well with much higher quality today, and in every way possible. Visual appeal counts for a great deal, as well as comprehensiveness and grammar.
   Also try not to stuff your hubs with keywords, or else Google will not bless it much, because the Google Panda update has slammed websites for having overly abused the whole SEO factors on the web as a whole.
   Last but not least, you will need to network with others socially to maximize your chances at sharing your efforts of your hubs getting viewed, and mostly by fairly sharing with others on social networks like facebook, and google plus. Also try to use them sharing buttons more often (For hubs you discover to be the best overall in your opinion & high quality mostly), it will help them to see that you also care for their works elsewhere on the web. Good Luck!

      The issue of keywords remain a puzzle to me and others out there - I think so.  It is just not clear enough how many keywords are enough or not enough.
      I believe clarity sinks when you publish more hubs and learning through the

      Not sure why I got the negative 1 vote there, but oh well I guess there's some haters out here for sure. It's all good though high stats is high stats, and +1's or not it won't change that reality.

   I am well aware that many write on HubPages in an effort to earn some extra cash and for them page views become an issue of concern. For me anyway, I don't really pay much attention to page views. I write simply for the joy of putting thoughts and feelings into a story my followers find entertaining, enjoyable or enlightening. This is a superb site to sharpen a person's writing skills. As a result of HubPages and the positive feedback I have received I had the confidence to submit some of my stories and be published in a national magazine. So, in that regard, page views for me doesn't mean as much as it does to submit quality content. I guess it really comes down to what the author's motivations are for writing here.

    The reduced page views could be due to a lot of people being on vacation (holiday) this time of the year in the U.S.  WIth 4th of July in the middle of the week, a lot of people took the week off and are doing other things besides surfing the web.

       The CPM's seem normal. I have a huge range of daily CPM's from about $7 to $19 in June. So far in July, they've been about $9. A little on the low end, but I think it's because traffic is just lower,

    Yes, There is absolutely something going on with Google Testing. My views dropped  by 2/3's for almost a week twice in the last few weeks.
    It is really tiresome to have Google screw with my pittance of an income on HP, seemingly at their whim.
    For one period, I did absolutely nothing to any of my hubs, and even my most popular ones dropped to near-zero reads for several days.
    I am now pondering the question of whether to spend my time being a writer, or spend it being a constant chaser of Google changes in their search engine.
    I am near the point of just writing FLUFF on HP and keeping my more serious writing for books.

    Actually, mine have recently improved.  When summer began (late May) I was in for a slump - about 30% of my normal views.  Now they are slowly climbing up again.  That's how it goes, up and down.  From what I've heard, summer is always less active than winter, when people are indoors more and online.  Just keep writing search friendly material and the pendulum will swing back again.

    I've noticed a small decline from the end of June to now. As mentioned by others, it's probably due to the US holiday (today), vacations and also a significant number of people in the Mid-Atlantic were out of power (and still are). I'm sure it's just a temporary glitch!

    The traffic to my hubs are usually low, so I would say I have not  been experiencing any drop different from the usual fluctuation in my meager traffic. However, I think the overall decrease in traffic to Hubpages like other blogging platforms, could be possibly be the result of less people visiting these sites at the moment. This is partly due to the fact that most people are currently away on vacation or spending more time taking care of things they usually devote themselves to during the summer time.

    I asked this question the other day in the forums, but I have not received any response yet.  I have noticed quite an upward spike in traffic since the latest Hubpage.com format change on our pages. Hopefully, the traffic will continue to go upward!
