I believe changing over is irreversible and ultimately inevitable for all hubbers but for all those who find change difficult :-) it would be good to hear of any negative observations regarding the new profile pages that you early birds may have noticed.

Most of my own sites and blogs hits don't come from HubPages, but they get a fair amount of traffic every month from the links on my HubPages profile page. I'm not happy that this way of getting traffic to our own sites is been taken away from us.
Indeed, I don't see why they removed the links anyway. Was it a distraction? What was the point? I still don't get it.
It does seem too obvious to be an oversight. Although some people do go overboard with links which doesn't always look very professional.Perhaps limiting a profile page to a certain number of links would be better compromise.
Interesting Points Maralexa.I'm sure Hubpages will be taking general feedback into consideration.
I have significantly changed my mind about #2: I am preparing a new hub with images that will be "inspiring" in this section of my new profile page.
Also, #3 above. The hubbers in "Others you might like..." are fabulous.
Sorry for all caps!
Thanks for the update Maralexa.Takes time to fully assess the pros and cons of change.
Seems strange alright and will probably be unfavorable to most.
That's good to hear.General feedback does seem to be positive.
Interesting points Teresa. I'm sure your not alone in this and even for those who don't use hubpages primarily for this reason it is a secondary motivation for many. The Hubpages community definitely keeps me a lot more active here than i'd planned.
Thanks, I believe we can link to one site, but that's not much use when one has more than just one or two sites. We'll constantly be changing our one website link to give all our (own) sites equal exposure.
You and me both.Time will tell :-)
