New 24 hour delay feature on new hubs.
I have published a new hub and have noticed a new element on the statistics page stating that there is now a processing period?
Did I miss something?
Yeah, I have noticed this as well, and find it incredibly annoying! I have even posted about it in the forums because this is a lot of wasted time when search engines can't index your hubs.
This might not be a big issue for most people, but for those who write on current topics that need to be indexed by Google quickly to get a first movers advantage, this is a huge disadvantage!
Glad you are bringing this up, as I hope it will be addressed soon!
Yea it's kind of annoying. When I put a lot of time and effort into a hub, I want to see it get some views, not just sit there. They could have at least told us about this change in an email.
Molo......If I am not mistaken.....the circular arrows designate "pending"....which I believe means that your newly published hub will be rated Google-worthy (green dot) or NOT google-worthy (Zzz). I don't think it has anything to do with holding back our hubs, in terms of making them visible to readers......Was that your concern? There is complete information from HP staff, explaining this rating program, somewhere.....I read it all, but don't recall where it was. I hope I helped a little bit...???
Thanks Paula,
I was wondering what was going on. I did read something but cannot remember where it was. Who or what is deciding what is worthy? This is a bit of a departure isn't it?
Well....Google decides what's google-worthy and what isn't.....and this is what the green dots and Zz's and circular arrows are telling us......I really don't know who decides "other" worthiness except for the love and hugs we give each other!! LOL
I'm with you on the love and hugs idea. In this instance we are already rich indeed. Who needs money anyway. We would only spend it on some crap lol
THANK YOU, Michael......I am happy you chose my answer as BEST!
You know i study a lot of military campaigns and battles and there's always a chain of command that answers to the one above it- for example: army commander, wing commander, and corp commander on down the line. This new program reminds me of it, Michael. To simplify we could say, Big G, HP, then hubbers, us. I believe it was a needed program and that HP knows what they're doing, despite all the glitches in implementation. My new one got caught in a wrinkle and was in processing mode for about 4 days. You do bring up a good point about time sensitive hubs. Ideas on how to get them approved quicker is absolutely needed as you and others who write time sensitive hubs make clear. But how? Out of my expertise but there are plenty of hubbers who could maybe come up with some thoughts on it, maybe HP can work something into the program soon, certainly hope so my friend.
Hi Alastar,
Apparently this change should not affect page views as the keywords will still be picked up by Google. So my question is qualified to these two ideas. (1) What is the point of the processing? (2) What are they processing?
Who knows?
I did not do much on hubpages this summer because of a work committment and just didn't have the time. On publishing a new hub recently I found many changes I had not notices. I can't find the share button, especially for Facebook and I can't find it to share or like the hubs I am reading today. I am happy you ask this question because I was wondering what the pending status means.
I have a great deal to catch up on.

I recently found one of my hubs copied on a blogger blog. The whole text, images and amazon adverts were there!I contacted another hubber Rajan Jolly as one of his hubs was also copied. I have to thank him for identifying and locating this blogger's profile here. It seems he has about 40 blogs on a...

A few weeks ago I posted something on the forums wondering where the feature for nominating a hub for Editor's Choice had gone. It was removed because of lack of use. Now that Editor's Choice hubs are featured much more prominently, with banners, social media promotions, HOTD...

Has anyone else noticed that the stats/views seem to be frozen here for the last 20+ hours or so?My views seem to be frozen since yesterday, when I have received a ton of comments on a particular hubs, and the views are so low, that it is as if no one has viewed the hubs, but that is not the case,...
