Plagiarism and intellectual property theft are not identical, as you seem to be implying, but they do both exist.
Thanks for this answer. There is a controversial aspect of whether it refers to the idea being stolen and is presented using different set of words, or is it only when you copy the same text that you commit plagiarism.
Ideas are not protected by copyright. But if the storyline, plot, structure etc. are identical or very similar, probably there is plagiarism.
Depending on the originality of the idea, it is possible to plagiarize people's concepts, but it's much harder to legally prove.
I agree because some ideas are common, especially ideas about life. Everyone experiences them, and how can life experiences be entirely different? Maybe when you use your own words to express it.
