Yes, but it takes a bit more effort than common PPC revenue.
I can only go by my earnings from my other websites & blogs, and not here; in fact, I just got paid from Amazon a few days ago. I've always had the best results with health-related products...
Anyway, what has worked best for me, is to write an informative post about, say, the health benefits of a certain herb, for example. If your post is enticing and convincing enough, there's a good chance you'll get a few sales here and there, simply due to people being interested in the product that you are promoting in a nonchalant fashion.
Hey, nonchalant works! If you come across as somebody that's strongly pushing a product, it will turn most people off.
However, if you go on about a certain subject and make it sound good, but pretty much leave it up to the viewer to click the links without strongly recommending anything, your chances of a sale actually go up.
On the other hand, if you're just rambling about random subjects and slapping down some Amazon adverts at the end of your junk, it rarely works.
A lot of people always talk about product reviews being the best option, but I've always had the best luck with informative articles that relate to the products as opposed to directly trying to sell 'em. ...Many folks that are seeking product reviews, are bouncing around the web looking for various opinions and are obviously not sure to begin with, which sounds sort of like the "Hub Hopping" of shopping, to say the least; ha!
At any rate, Amazon doesn't work well for a lot of folks, but I enjoy the option...
