Recently my page views dropped from an average of 800 a day to less than 200, can anyone explain why? For three to four months my traffic was steadily rising and topped off at about 5,000 a week and then BOOM, baby it just tanked and very quickly. Now I'm lucky to get 200 a day and am seriously thinking of just creating my own blog as I have already gotten a decent reputation, so why should I continue to play by Hub Pages rules as they continue to get more and more conservative to the point of being ridiculous. It is almost as if they are now being run by a bunch of middle-age housewives.

Yes, it is time no doubt, perhaps HP's served its purpose however I still am wondering why they would feel the need to decrease traffic . . . makes no sense?
Well, things would be more stable around here if most aspects of the site were left alone without a constant state of "tweaking" due to traffic-panic. When you have too many chiefs involved, well, you get the picture...
Oh I get the picture all right but you have been pushing me in this direction for months so maybe I shouldn't fear change and go for it.
No matter what, I'd keep the Hubs you got here, and drive the extra traffic to them from your new sites... Before you know it, you'll have a lot of pull and gravity towards your grammatical junk, sort of like that awesome polar shift & Nibiru st
